Re: Midwest Regional, Miami vs. Alabama-Huntsville, Bemidji State vs. Michigan
There is a lot to your point. Miami's first half schedule was so difficult they had to be alert at all times. Second half not so much, so maybe they were on cruise control. I, for one, give michigan all the credit for their win friday. It wasn't anything Miami did, although they didn't play well, It was all about what Michigan did do to win that game.
To my knowledge it was the first time Reichard has been pulled this season and only the third time Miami gave up 5 goals all season....the other two, UND and UNH both tournament teams.
Yes, and UNO earned it, but that was weeks ago.
But, what's that got to do with Miami losing to them? OSU taking Miami to three games? I saw a 2-2 trend coming into the CCHA championships- maybe a bit of relaxation/overconfidence on their part, even though they wanted to win the tourney. They were on cruise mode since December.
Is it that hard to give your opponent a little credit? Your team got outplayed, period. The rest are excuses. How many times did Reichard get yanked this season? It may be the best thing that happened to your team going into the NCAA's.
