I think the CCHA conference makes the most sense for them because they are the ones that are the closest to them. It's why UNO left the CCHA, they're closer out to the WCHA teams. Not saying I hate on the CCHA people for not allowing UAH into the CCHA, cause I understand where they come from.
And I don't think the UAH should be underestimated. When I heard that we were playing them I immediately looked at their schedule and results. And of course, while their conference only has four teams their results don't really say much. However, they never were really demolished by any team throughout the entire season, besides maybe one or two 6-2 wins by Bemidji over them. Most of their games were 2-1, 3-2 kind of games. They were able to get wins over WMU (I belive) and Notre Dame, and while that isn't saying much especially with both of those teams this year. I don't think UAH should be seen as a team that will absolutely get embarassed. Of course they could, maybe, but 100% will, def. not.

UAH lost to WMU twice, but they were 2-1 games where the Broncos were lucky to come out with wins. So said Cullhane to me post-game.

I think Culhane was happy to pick up any wins he did in his farewell tour, because they were far and few between.

She's new to the whole college hockey scene and tends to not think or educate herself about things before posting. Ive tried to inform her to do so but haven't gotten through. She's a loyal fan, but is still learning the ropes of college hockey...It'll come sometime, takes others more time.
You are right though it doesn't. The reason they got rejected was because the CCHA wanted to keep their options open right now. They have their eye on another program hoping they go D I and want to have room for them. UAH will find a home eventually. But they have a pretty tough schedule next year set up already.

It's not that much different for Lake State. It would definitely be longer for NMU.

I have to agree with him. UAH adds nothing to the league. They don't increase the conference footprint, don't add a growing hockey hotbed to the league, don't offer any relatively close attractions for fans, don't have a history of success before their D1 days...

I would have to say huntsvilles on ice performance is exactly why they didn't get in a big conference this year. Anybody seen that YouTube video with the "come on son" guy? I recorded it myself.
I didn't go to the BSU presser. Thought about it, but was on a work conference call and doing radio spots for today at the time.
