You are a terrible road tripper. Road trips are supposed to be uncomfortable, like MeG riding in a truck bed for an hour and a half in 30 degree weather on the way to an NMU game.

Hmmmm. I'm intrigued. This sounds like a place I need to visit. After all "hot female hockey fans" are four of my favorite words especially when they preceed "can't keep their hands off of CHA".

Dear Michgan Tech Men's Hockey Team,

As an NMU fan, it goes without saying that I'm not exactly a fan of yours. However, this week you are facing two of the schools that I hate the most: The University of Michigan and Michigan State University. I'm not asking for, nor am I expecting to see you win these games, but please, if nothing else make some interesting games out of this to make this trip (and missing my own team's holiday tournament) worth it.

Dear Michigan Tech Men's Hockey Team,

I realize you aren't capable of delivering too many wishes this season given your lack of interest in playing with heart and trying to actually compete in many of the games you've played. Nevertheless, I have a few requests.

1. Two years ago, I overheard a female Spartan fan loudly predict to her companion, "Oh yes, it'll be Michigan and Michigan State playing for the title tomorrow." If you could at least try to disappoint those types of MSU and U of M fans again, that'd be nice.

2. The FSN-D announcers/tools apologized on the air for Michigan State's loss back in 2007. It was hilarious, so please at least try to force them to make excuses again. :p

If the above can't be fulfilled, I have one last request:

3. Please make Corey Tropp cry and wish he'd never been permitted to play college hockey again. Please do this by legally checking him, blocking his shots, keeping the puck away from him as much as possible, and above all, not stooping to his level of trying to break an opponent's neck.

I am going to try to, I am bringing my brother along, who will be in his State gear, so if we aren't running late that is the plan (I have to be like 45 mins early to the game, too, so that I can drop off the Gong and cowbells). If you want you can give me a call or I can give you a call tomorrow, my number is on FB, let me know either way.

Or driving home from Tech hungover as **** with an hour of sleep. Ugggggh. Or freezing your *** off on an inflatable mattress because FB forgot to open the vent in that room.

I am so annoyed with FS Detroit...why the hell is only the championship on for this tournament? :(

Because it's automatically assumed that 8 times out of 10, it'll be another Michigan-MSU matchup, of course. Gotta maximize the revenues, so you broadcast whatever game is likely to draw the most interest. *sigh*

EDIT: The Pistons also have a game on Tuesday that they are likely obligated to broadcast above all else.

It could be on FSN Plus but it seems more likely that they just aren't picking it up this year.

Compared to North Dakotans, who are probably still getting four or five channels via one of those "fancy", "newfangled" digital converter boxes, we're downright geniuses. :p ;)

Dear Michigan Tech Huskies,
I know I'm only a freshman, but really, I had a lot of hope going into this season. I swear it's not just freshman naivety, I've been around since that fateful game in October of '03. I understand that it's hard to stay healthy, but really, we aren't NMU. You don't need to be making weekly visits for tests and such.
If you could please at least attempt to turn around this terrible slide down Hubbell Hill, that would be amazing.
Genoe, channel your inner Nolan (think GLI 07? v. UMich).
Everyone, stop doing stupid things.
Please, please, please get at least one W this weekend. For me? (I realize you're not used to girls begging you)
