MICHIGAN TECH OFFSEASON THREAD II: The Winning has started

Shirtless Guy made a point to me a couple days ago, technically they're not doing anything wrong, they're just really effing stupid. Yeah, maybe they're trolling, but I don't think it is enough for board to actually banninate them, they'll just be back every 2 weeks after the suspensions are done. If they're this horrible in the offseason, what are they going to do when October comes around?
Giving them that 2 weeks vacation does give them some time to find some other place to get their LOLZ at perhaps. That's our best hope I think. Then again, I almost wonder if they're really some other poster here.

Yeah, I've wondered that too. I think they are the same poster, but I can't figure out if it is some other poster playing a stupid joke on everyone or if it is someone new.

For anyone that wants to see why this is necessary, check out the last page or so in this thread:

I'll admit losing interest in reading about tech thanks to your, well, pair of losers.

I'll still have a side fan in me for Tech, and other for Mel, and perhaps another for Billy, if he gets the job.

But I do find it pretty amazing that you guys can fill so many threads for a program like Tech's. Do you think the years of struggle bring out the worst in people?

As opposed to my team- we had all of one thread for all of 2010-11, and still is only on page 25 including all of the off season. Interesting.

I have a couple of theories. It's either the bwk contingent (or, at least their resident Tech fan), or it's Foxy-Woxy getting under your skin for kicks.

Just looking at that, it appears that Mel will have a little pressure to put together a winning team...

Just a little bit...those numbers are base salary and all but still...as Flashy pointed out it sounds like Mel's assistants will be Muckalt and Whitten. Neither seems like a #1 guy at this point and no idea what happen with Renfrew but thats the word on the street.

Re: Economics of Liechtenstein

Re: Economics of Liechtenstein

I do like the decision to keep Whitten around, since all indications are that he had a very good working relationship with the players.

Do these numbers seem really low to anybody else? Low enough that there is probably some other compensation (benefits, bonuses) mechanism that's isn't taken into consideration?

They are just base salaries, I don't think anyone has found anything more than these numbers, so that is what we have to go with. Coaches like Lucia, Eaves, Gwoz, Hakstol surely make more from different bonuses, camps, etc.

Re: Economics of Liechtenstein

Oh, this is a wonderful relief to read a thread that isn't full of poo.

Even without bonuses, etc. it is a bit crazy to see Pearson at the top of the salary list. Can't wait to see the program begin its turnaround. :D
