Re: Michigan Tech Offseason II: We Won as Much Hardware as Ovechkin!!

I'm not looking forward to the season, lets stick with offseason for a while. I can't take anymore losing.

Re: Michigan Tech Offseason II: We Won as Much Hardware as Ovechkin!!

Colby Genoway dressed for a period of a MJ game and had to sit out a year.

That's pretty pathetic on the NCAA's part when you consider how long Reggie Bush's party favors went unnoticed/overlooked.

I believe Rohn missed the first 15 games of his freshman season due to a brief flirtation with some pro team over in Europe. Before that, Alex Gagne lost a whole year of eligibility after he played one game for a QMJHL team. It's not the first time Tech has dealt with this situation.

If Rohn is any indication, perhaps this guy would only lose half a year since there isn't as much "bad blood" between the NCAA and the Euro leagues. Who knows.

Re: Michigan Tech Offseason II: We Won as Much Hardware as Ovechkin!!

Re: Michigan Tech Offseason II: We Won as Much Hardware as Ovechkin!!

oh!! and he's a big guy too! does he fight?

Re: Michigan Tech Offseason II: We Won as Much Hardware as Ovechkin!!

I just realized - the solution to our injury problems is to sign a "Soft Swede"? :p

Let's hope he's ready to hit and get hit more than your average Swedish player.

Re: Michigan Tech Offseason II: We Won as Much Hardware as Ovechkin!!

I'm a Swede too. and I never fight. the mister has a mug that says
"living with a Swede builds character"

I'll hit you if you don't stop ripping on swedes! You don't want to **** me off! tDarkness might be the only one to see me truly ****ed. It was ugly and involved a broomball incident.

Re: Michigan Tech Offseason II: We Won as Much Hardware as Ovechkin!!

yeah, us Swedes can get (!!) so mad. we sometimes ... frown. that's when you know we are really really ****ed off.

Re: Michigan Tech Offseason II: We Won as Much Hardware as Ovechkin!!

Huskyfan is right. MN is full of Swedes, and you've obviously heard of MN Nice.

Now if he was a mick......;)

Re: Michigan Tech Offseason II: We Won as Much Hardware as Ovechkin!!

My broomball incident involves a spearing, slew footing, fight in the parking lot and me getting kicked off my team. :(

Calm down. If he's like our Swedes, you'll be fine.
That being said, I hope he's not.

Based on his '90 birthday, Holmberg will probably come in this year, no? Even including Slewfoot's departure, he gives us 18 forwards, to go with our eight defensemen, and three goalies.

Re: Michigan Tech Offseason II: We Won as Much Hardware as Ovechkin!!

Holmberg will not have to sit out any games and he will be playing for the huskies during the 2010-2011 season.
