This must have been the one other guy who Jamie said earlier might commit.
How long ago? If you're talking near the end of the season into early offseason that was Dan Nycholat, he chose Dartmouth.

Ah, yeah, it was about two weeks before the end of the semester. I can't keep up with all these recruits.

hmmm.
2. Colorado College to Replace Boston University at GLI
Athletic Director Suzanne Sanregret has announced that Colorado
College will replace Boston University as the invited team at this year's Great Lakes Invitational (GLI), Dec. 29-30, at Joe Louis Arena.

The change is the result of a scheduling oversight made by Boston University.

"We would like to welcome and thank Colorado College for committing to the GLI on such short notice,"said Sanregret. "They will be a great addition to the tournament."

This year will mark the third appearance for Colorado College at the GLI. The Tigers finished fourth in the inaugural tournament in 1965 and claimed the title in 2005.

Michigan and Michigan Tech will play the first game on Dec. 29, followed by the Michigan State and Colorado College game. The following day's action will include a third-place game followed by the championship game.

What in the hell? We just had them like 5 or 6 years ago. And yet another WCHA team. I want to play some more east teams!!! This gives them the 36 games they would want this season (+2 because of Alaska trip). I don't know how I didn't hear anything from CC fans about only having 34 games on the schedule before.

Scheduling oversight? Who whiffed on their pass?

Too bad, I was looking forward to seeing BU and BC back-to-back. CC will be a fine substitute, but I agree with Yager about wanting to watch and potentially play more eastern teams.

Two, two series in a row that BU doesn't go to Detroit! Ah ah ah!

They looked over their schedule, sighted they had to play Michigan Tech, and decided they didn't want to go.

Only if they had lost to Michigan State. :p

I'm betting that they are like everyone else in Boston and didn't want to travel to Detroit for fear of getting shot. ;)

the Avs are looking at John Scott?????
The Wild have a glut of young d-men, so I really don't think there's a chance that he re-signs here. That is why I bought my John Scott Wild jersey when I had the chance. :p

So, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but technically, Ovechkin now has more hardware from this season...he won the Ted Lindsay Award (voted on by NHL players) :o

Oh wells, we'll just have to kill this thread faster

After all the whining that the Boston Collective did this year about the FFFF, it would surprize me.

Well, worse comes to worse, you can always brag about how you beat Northern Michigan in the Directors Cup Standings.
