As long as we're getting close here is what I expect to see on Saturday:

I feel really good about these 2 lines:

David Johnstone-Blake Pietila-Reid Sturos
Alex Gillies-Tanner Kero-Alex Petan

I feel decent about this 3rd line:
C.J. Eick-Mike Neville-Blake Hietala

I feel like Steman is the 4th center with Gould, Heinonen, L'Esperance...maybe Evan Anderson fighting for the last 2 forward spots.

With so little practice before these important games, I think they lean towards experience and god with Heinonen-Steman-Gould

The defensemen will likely paired like this:
Cliff Watson-Riley Sweeney
Chris Leibinger-Shane Hanna
Matthew Roy-Walker Hyland

You're pretty close to my initial guesses. In fact, our top two lines are identical.

Johnstone-Pietila-Sturos
Gillies-T. Kero-Petan
Eick-Neville-Steman
Hietala-Anderson-L'Esperance
Travelling: Heinonen

Watson-Hanna
Roy-Sweeney
Leibinger-Auk
Travelling: Hyland

Phillips
D. Kero


But, I could also see Steman as the 4th line C.

Being 27th isn't an issue to me until we're into the 3rd or 4th week of the season and still ranked behind ECAC teams that have yet to put their skates on... It happens every year.

Ok that's twice this week I've pimped myself to pitch the WCHA's product.
If I do it again, they will have to start paying me, at least on a commission basis.

Unless the defense is looking shaky come Jan 1, is it possible that Birks would continue to attend class & practices, sit out the entire season, and redshirt to preserve his full eligibility? The only wrinkle I could see in that plan is if the Pens want him to get ice time sooner.

I believe red shirting is the current plan.

A statistics professor wanted to make his point more memorable so he decided to poll his class by asking about the frequency of their love making. He asked, "How many of you are once a week?" A few hands went up. "How many every other week?" A few more hands. "Once a month?" More hands went up. "Once a semester?" Finally, he got down to, "Once a year?"

A young man in the back row started frantically waving his arm back and forth, exclaiming "Ooohhh, Oooh, Oooh!" The professor said, "Calm down young man. Why are you so excited?" To which he replied,

"TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT! TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT!"
