I was in the Coliseum today and that's a small ice surface.

Prepare to be trapped into submission.

Sorry Jan, but I told you to wrap it up before Madison. :(

the last time michigan tech won at the nhec, gas was $3.69 a gallon, mtu was wearing white, there was a black president, america was worried about the impending sequester, and tyler hirsch was still crazy.

Tech's proven that their best is good enough to play with anyone. My money says they get a good effort between the pipes for at least one of the games, and they come out of there with 2 pts. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
Well done, sir!
I might add, some of the other early predictions are quite funny after seeing Tech dominate the last 5 periods of that series.

Someone please explane to me how that Tech team only has 11 wins on the year and 7 in confrence? With what I saw these last two nights, (granted we played some of our worst hockey of the year) they must have been the biggist bunch of underachivers ever. Way more talent then the record would indiacate. Not a team I would want in the first round of the playoffs.

Young goaltending, defensive lapses, and lack of upper class men scoring.

Honestly...does anyone know how MTU's goalie can throw THREE haymakers and only get a 2 minute roughing call? He should have been ejected on the spot.

To the victors go the spoils... SCSU can have the cup. We got a win and finally beat the snot out of that monkey that's been on Tech's back since 1998. They can bury him in the concrete walls of the construction project. I also snagged the SCSU throw-back jersey of the only player to register a point in the game (#16 Murray) and talked my way into a couple others after the game as well. If SCSU continues to tank, I would be happy to come back in a couple weeks and pick up some more... wins and jerseys.

I did get a few staff members that politely tried to stop me from going down on the ice after the game while wearing my Tech jersey...
"I'm sorry sir we're only allowing jersey auction winners on the ice."
"Yes, I know. That's why I'm going down there. We're taking 2 pts, and a jersey for our long suffering here."

It looked to me like you were trying to tell Jimmy to keep it. What was going on down there before he finally took it off?

You mean 5 minutes after Faragher did the same? :D

Happy for you getting the jersey. Got a lot of respect for your collection. Also glad you are one of the Tech fans that aren't sickened by the thought of SCSU possibly winning the MacNaughton.

I don't think the staff really told the players what to do. Being a frosh, I'm sure this was his first time doing this at SCSU. He kind of stood around and chatted with me for a while after they took the promo photographs. I think he was expecting there was something else they would do. After a while I think he noticed that the other players were just leaving after they handed over the jerseys and he asked "Do I just give this to you now? Should I sign it?" I said he didn't need him to sign it (actually less valuable as a collectors item when it is signed) and I wished him best of luck in getting the cup and the remainder of his career with the Huskies. Nice polite kid and I'm guessing he wasn't sure what to think when he found out some fan of the visiting team bought his jersey.

Re: Michigan Tech Huskies at St. Cloud State Huskies: Eyeing the Finish Line

I'm actually curious to know what happened to the Drew LeBlanc #19 captain jersey. Former SCSU Husky Mark Parrish won the jersey and I never saw the player hand over the jersey. I saw Mark down in the lockerroom about 45 minutes later and he wasn't carrying the jersey around either. I wonder if he said Drew could keep it? I know Mark paid well over $1000 for it. The last bid I saw was $1400, but someone said it ultimately went for more. I didn't get to see the sheet in the last 5 minutes as I was watching a couple others. Very generous by Mark either way.

I hope you aren't talking about us? I have no problem with SCSU winning the cup. I just didnt want to see the cup raised again after a Tech loss...seen it too many times.

I'd have liked to have seen MSU take it just to see it "stay home".
