Michigan Tech Huskies at St. Cloud State Huskies: Eyeing the Finish Line

Re: Michigan Tech Huskies at St. Cloud State Huskies: Eyeing the Finish Line

Just realized with a win tonight we would finish no lower then 2nd, which would mean that assuming we win our playoff series, we would have a bye into friday for the Final Five. Lots of good stuff to play for tonight.

“I thought we were lucky in the first two periods,” Huskies coach Bob Motzko said. “Ryan Faragher is the only reason that game stayed close.

Well of course Motzko's going to say something along that accord. It's diplomatic coach speak.

Congrats to Motzko for another 20 win season.

Now let's sweep Tech tonight!

Yes, and if Bemidji can snipe a point from UND, they get the first seed.

because they were lucky, at least thru 20. 1-0 SCSU was not at all indicative of how that period went. That was pretty much all MTU except on the scoreboard. The sad part is Faragher was out of his element at the start but Tech still couldn't score.

Really?
You really are a glass half empty guy aren't you. ;)

I think they win tonight, but playing at sconnie makes me nervous. I have seen something like 14 games in Madison over the years and have not seen that many wins. My friends have already told me if they lose next friday I am not allowed at the game saturday....

Rip on yoopers all you want, just don't lump me in with them.
HEY, I resemble that remark!
Rather be a Yooper than a doofy cowboy. :)
Right on! Wait,
What a stupid ****ing match.
this sums up this argument. For the record, we yoopers wish we could upgrade to trailer houses, but the snow is too heavy for them. Also, Tech has the talent to win but as was amply illustrated last night they don't yet have the maturity defensively to do so very often. Also, enough with the hitting crossbars! Enough! Hoping for a hot goalie tonight.

and if it wasn't for an inch or two Tech would have two goals in that period

I still can't believe that first one they reviewed didn't go in. Crossbar then pipe and out. He had the whole net open. From my viewpoint I swore it was in, and yelled out a loud angry f-bomb when it happened.

Re: Michigan Tech Huskies at St. Cloud State Huskies: Eyeing the Finish Line

The day is off to a good start for tenants of the NHEC. St. John's beat Gustavus 3-2 to win the MIAC playoff title to go along with their Regular Season title.

Re: Michigan Tech Huskies at St. Cloud State Huskies: Eyeing the Finish Line

Looks like I have a bet to pay off. Congrats, Tech.

Re: Michigan Tech Huskies at St. Cloud State Huskies: Eyeing the Finish Line

The last time Michigan Tech won at the NHEC, gas was $3.69 a gallon, MTU was wearing white, there was a black president, America was worried about the impending sequester, and Tyler Hirsch was still crazy.
