I don't object to letting a lot go, but it should be uniform throughout the league, and same for every game. This was not your usual game. Giving up that forth goal was a killer.

We had some great spurts of offensive control, but couldn't score
No D. Johnstone, maybe no Petan will hurt
Mel's postgame thoughts:
unfortunate to lose David early, at hospital getting xrays, but looks like he's done for the year
And Petan, a lot going on, we have to keep our cool, our guys fought hard, especially with 2 of our top scorers out
Can't walk out of here saying they're the better team, disapointing
We dominated parts of 2nd period, 2x1 adn JJ takes penalty behind play, their guy was punchign our guy in the face and then JJ gets called for his slash, have to keep our control
walk out of here, feeling we're the better team tonight, but didn't keep the puck out of our net
Fatigue? Don't think so, but killing penalties take a lot out of you, at one tiem 3 Dmen were in box
We hit a few posts
Our guys were right there with them, it'll be heck of a game tomorrow night
Walker Hyland - He's made great stridges, can't teach poise and patience, he showed it tonight, good experience for him tonight
Do you see lineup changes for fresh legs? We have to get some guys in, have to make a call to the office to see if we can replace David if he can't play on the 22 man travel roster.
We battled and battled, did a lot of things well, the penalties, and a bad goal at the end, bad turnover on their 3rd goal, they're too good of a team, can't give them those opportunities
It's a best of 3, need a 2 game streak here, told our guys to walk otu of the rink with our head held high, they played hard, not good enough, have to find a way to win

So happy the Furne goal/no-goal didn't impact the game.
Good discipline tonight, we kind of did what Stephen Anderson tweeted about quoting the Grand Forks Herald writer, "One big mistake Tech made was getting involved with scrumes and taking bad penalties, the best way to beat UND is to lull the place to sleep. All they did during those scrums was get The Ralph riled up.
Mel's postgame thoughts:
What can you say, just told the guys we're not surprised as a coaching staff, they shouldn't be either, we played well last night but no moral victories
They keep giving great effort, they lose Rix, already without D. Johstone, the guys ralied, can't say enough about them
UND had won 14 straight playoff games, we live to see another game, tomorrow will be a heack of a game
Pheonix made a couple great saves, the breakwaway by Grimaldi, great save, and then the other way great backhand by Eick
They pushed us in teh 3rd, we didnt' play as well as I thought, we were down some bodies, but we earned this win
So proud of our players, they represent MTU so well, game on
Look at the shots, not a big difference between these two hockey clubs, we outshot them both nights, we're doing a lot of good things
Saunders played very well for them too,
Mel's ecstatic, so happy for our players, told them, we have a new breed of huskies, the old breed has been sent to pasture
We skated play, we'll make mistakes but it's how you handle/recover from them, we did a great job, when we needed Pheonix stepped up and did well
1 game and I like where we're at, we've got some confidence, we have a golie playing well, we've got speed & physicallity
3 games in 3 days, will be more of an endurance test
Can guys skate tomorrow morn? Haven't let guys skate Friday or Saturday, while UND has had brisk skates, hopefully that strategy will pay dividends.
Have to finish it off, we'll give it everything we have.
