Anyone going to Meet the Coaches tonight?

The Meet the Coaches Event is Thursday (Oct. 4) from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Begg Conference Room of the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena. Michigan Tech head hockey coach Mel Person and his assistants will talk about last year's success, the direction of current recruiting activities and specifics about this year's incoming freshmen. The event is free and open to the public and sponsored by the Michigan Tech Blue Line Club, Michigan Tech Athletics, and the Keweenaw Chapter of Alumni and Friends.

I just watched "In the Crease - 3"... Wow, I am very impressed! That was a well produced video segment. If the team can put out something like that every 7-10 days that is a great marketing tool. Great job!

According to twitter Michigan Tech will play at Michigan next season and Michigan State will visit Houghton, then reverse the following season.

The only way to get UMAA to leave AA for non-conference games is for a former assistant coach to tell them to do so.

The only way to get UM-TC to leave TC for conference games is for UMD to play in UM-TC's tournament three times.

The old conference room, now a living area/ relaxing area for the team. This is where we had the meet the coaches... Couches, TV, Xbox... All in this area...

Coaching staff really high on freshman... Everyone but 1 kid came in better this year than last year... Set expectations really high for this team...

Would not confirm starting goalie... Will see 2, maybe 3 Saturday...

C. Pietila and J. Johnstone out for this weekend...

White jerseys Saturday... Prolly white and black on Sunday... Shields wants to save yellow for special occasion... Tryin to convince Mel to jot use them Sunday...

As I tweeted last night, Michigan Tech picked up another forward with Brett Boeing of Stattuck-St. Mary's committing.

The 3rd In the Crease episode Damon talks about recruiting and wanting to get into Minnesota, and it looks like they've done that.

FS Detroit published their college hockey TV schedule and assuming the NHL comes back and the dates don't change, all 4 GLI games will be on TV, it's been a few years since they've shown all 4.

Pulling kids from Shattuck is an impressive feat for this program. Well done.

Just watched it. Hope they continue with it during the season but not to talk about the games that week, just some insight into some aspect of the program.

Especially the Prep team. I was expecting him to be AAA, which I'm told still has some decent players who didn't make the Prep cut.
