Another W. Hopefully we hear good news on Olson!

Mel's postgame thoughts:
A wins a win
Gutsy effort by the guys
These are tough games to play and coach
Mankato got some playes back and played a good road game
Need to eliminate some turnover for tomorrow
Stebner consistent, sometimes not prettiest in practice but competes hard
Guys hung in there, no matter what happens play 60 mins hard
Olson jammed his finger, not sure if it's broken or just sprained, same finger as last year
Josh has been very good all year, making it difficult
Genoa has been playing well in practice, but good for Josh his senior year
Main goal for tomorrow: take care of puck better and better breakouts

That'd be fine, as long as the THG organ-I-zation won't draw the ire of Mix93 for infringing upon their copyright.

Anyone aware that there is a cubby/stall dealy in the team's locker room with goalie equipment and the name Tromp above it? I remember talk of him in one of the preseason threads. Just thought I would mention it.

I've been thinking about the video issues as was discussed last night on the thg, and what about this as a possible solution or at least mitigation.

This is for my situation and it might not be for everybody. For me, I am gone at least half the time for home games and so for whatever reason I miss those and have no opportunity to watch until after the game. Sometimes this is later that night but often it is the next day or a week later. I missed DU for instance and last night as well. Either I am working or have a social committment or something.

So rather than watching a crappy video that is streamed to me two days later and which I have trouble with, why not do like netflicks used to do. In other words I pay Tech for the program and I have a choice either I have it streamed in which case neulion gets paid or I get a dvd in the mail two days later. Tech gets paid in that case and I get a high quality video.

I'm happy, Tech gets more money, and all is good with the world. It has a side benefit of possibly getting the staff to send out copies to the media and maybe we get on tv somewhere at midnight.

Oh, is tier2 worse than midgets? I don't know how that Michigan system works. I was thinking that tier 2 was better than midgets,and since he compared midgets to MN high school, I said tier 2 would just be compared to 6AA, since 6AA is generally a step up from the rest of MN high school.

Joel L'Esperance's name has come up this week. To stop everyone from worrying, its "official," he verbally committed today to become a Husky! Big get for Mel Pearson and Michigan Tech. Article on TechHockeyGuide.com to come when I get some time.

I had never seen this problem before this year. You'd think the way Dirk promotes using pasty.net to listen to the games Tech or whoever would pay enough so everyone could listen. Then again maybe they want you to pay the cash for video and then you'd have no problems getting the game on the internet.

Interesting, I have to believe Mel sold this one.

When you look at the talent coming in, Tech is going to be poised to play anyone after the realignments take place.

Keeping looking at Compuware Mel, the place is filled with great players......

I know that your nickname is meant to identify yourself as a Tech alum from Colorado, but unfortunately, I think it risks being misconstrued as some sort of rectal horn. Bummer for you. ;)

Edit: This was a joke folks, come on. Tasteless yes, but a joke none the less. It wasn't a personal attack of his or her character or validity of opinion, just an off the cuff bit of grade B humor. Relax please.
