-Beer with Barry Melrose
-Piano bar with Shep, Anderson, Mousseau, and Jeff Sauer
-Meeting Amo Bessone
-Having Bob Norton and that guy from Sportscenter watch me and Shirtless steal a banner from outside the arena, then laugh at us as we walked by them. Then chatting with Bob Norton on the way back to the hotel.
-Shep dropping his pants outside of the nice restaurant's window as shirtless gyrated on the glass on the inside
Can we just say that the St. Louis Frozen 4 trip as a whole was AWESOME?

St. Louis will always be known as the trip where I kissed MEg on national TV only to have her mom called 2 seconds later. That weekend was epic.

To park in the secured lot attached to the Joe it's like 10 or 15 bucks, there are lots on the street for around 5 or you can actually park on the street for free, just don't leave anything worth grabbing laying out in the open, or you'll probably come back to find your window broke.

I completely forgot about that, yeah, those were some good times.

It's $15 to park in the garage. You can always take the People Mover from Greektown or something, though. The only bad part is waiting for it after the games. God I cannot wait to get some Lafayette Coney Island. I might go down there for Tday break just for the coneys.

That was classic, I did it just to freak MEg out, her mom seeing it was totally cake icing. I'm kind of mad nobody TIVO'ed it.

Cab will not be cheaper and definitely will not be easier.

Where are you staying, if you're downtown somewhere The People Mover might be the best suggestion.

It will probably be downtown, possibly even close enough to walk, but I will have to see the neighborhood before I'll decide if I want to walk or not. Yeah, the people mover could be the best bet, looked into that as well.

The 4 hotels that we've basically got it narrowed down to (since my friend has requested that it must have a hot tub, no complaints from me) are:
Holiday Inn Express Detroit-Downtown
Westin Book Cadillac Detroit
Courtyard by Mariott Detroit Downtown
Hilton Garden Inn Detroit Downtown

Anyone have any info on any of these? I was quite disappointed that Greektown didn't have a pool and hot tub, I would have liked to stay there and the rates weren't that bad.

Right now we're trying to figure out if we'll need a rental car, since we'll have to pay to park it at the hotel...if we don't need it, we can save a bit of money on parking.

If you get it Twitch, you'll have to get that youtube clip from Old School when Will Ferrell tosses the new pledges into the van, and then tells his wife there not to call the cops, and that they'll have him home by five. :D

Not sure if this has already been mentioned here, but go to this thread or this site to vote for Ontonagon--they're in the hunt for a $10,000 playspace improvement grant!
