In other tech hockey news: I watched the wild tonight, john scott is back playing D. He seems to be on the second unit and is getting a ton of ice time! It seemed like he was out there every other shift tonight and he played very well. It was fun to watch. We'll see if he can stop conner tomorrow night...

I really should have started a preseason thread back in August. Sorry!
Although I suspect MTU fans post more than RPI fans about their team, it's hard to compare because both schools also have threads for games vs. opponents. Also, there are currently 381 posts on the RPI recruit thread and a bunch more from this year on a multiyear alumni thread in the Alumni forum. Both are topics that you would discuss here.

Sounds like a decent weekend. We just need to stay out of the d@mn penalty box, though I see we're about to play the Sioux. I fear that an even chippier weekend might be on tap.

We did just get done with a series thread for almost 800 posts, not to mention those posted in the other version of the game thread.
Well the actual count isn't accurate usually. Since aisles were being used as seats for NMU and we still didn't even get to the official capacity of 4,200. It was about half of that, I'd say. But probably 500-700 under an average game. I suspect the swine. And there seemed to be less in attendance at the Saturday game, even after we won on Friday. As far as atmosphere, the Friday game was okay, and Saturday was quiet as hell and sucked. The Misfits are struggling because we don't have a Kolbus, Kessler, etc anymore. No one is any good at leading cheers or heckling the other players (cleanly).EDIT: Incidentally, was the attendance really that bad?

I was pretty good at heckling when I was there. I had a good outing last season at the Kohl Center too, except that was mostly yelling at that old bastard across the arena because he is 2 feet from the grave and his nursing home shouldn't ever let him leave.
I really need to get to a game so I can yell "suck it up candyass, this isn't basketball" after someone gets hurt.
