Miami vs B.C. Frozen Four Semifinal: Gotta happen sometime, right?

Re: Miami vs B.C. Frozen Four Semifinal: Gotta happen sometime, right?

I may not be doing it right, how does it work?
Next to the regular quote button, there's that smaller quote button with the "+" sign in it. If you click that on all the posts you want to multiquote (the button will turn red) and then hit "Post Reply" like normal, it should have all the posts you multiquoted right in the reply box.

Hope that helps!

Wish someone had filled RHM in on this earlier... I've always just entered them all manually! You just made my multi-quotin' life so much easier.

Firechickens season ends in 6 days.

I don't know about the other 'hawk fans, but I kinda like your obvious dig. 'Firechicken'...has a cool ring to it.

But your actual premise is faulty. Miami moves on.

They move on alright, back to Oohi with a big, fat L.

Personally I would find a fire breathing chicken far more intimidating then a red birdy. Just me though.

Scary

Does anyone else find it odd that the only real trash-talker for BC is not even a BC fan? Guess that this means that the next time Miami misses the playoffs (God forbid) we can all root for Notre Dame or Michigan State and talk more trash than a Rumpke driver!

Sweet!!!

Re: Miami vs B.C. Frozen Four Semifinal: Gotta happen sometime, right?

Nah, who cares what Brown thinks. It's in the cellars of the ECAC, with only 2 NCAA appearances in 30+ years, with a very impressive run of 27 losing seasons in that time.

Wait, maybe we shouldn't make fun of her now, I guess her team is basically the Bengals of college hockey.

Re: Miami vs B.C. Frozen Four Semifinal: Gotta happen sometime, right?

low blow man! i think a better analogy would be either the browns or lions or rams!

As a lifelong Bengals fan, and the personal jinx of the team in their two playoff losses in the past 2 decades (as I was in attendance at both), I feel that I can poke fun at my teams futility, especially when the times aren't looking as lean as they did in the 90s.

Re: Miami vs B.C. Frozen Four Semifinal: Gotta happen sometime, right?

I am a huge Bengals fan myself...most Miami fans I meet are fairly critical of the Bengals and, until recently, it was warranted. I apologize for not reading humor into your post. My bad.

Who is ready for some hockey?!

Seriously, get this thread going again. Will the Miami band of misfits, I mean brotherhood, string together another pathetic postseason peformance? They've found a way to cough up huge leads in just minutes the past two years to end their season. BC is looking to get past this game so they can gather another runner-up trophy. Or will Muse and the pathetic BC D finally do themselves in?

Here's my prediction:

In the first period, BC will strike first, and second. Miami will then score with 3 minutes left to take a 1 goal deficit into the locker room. Then they'll remember how Yale scored a bunch of times against BC and decide they should probably do that.

In the second period, Miami scores 3 straight goals to take a 4-2 lead. They celebrate. Then BC puts a puck through the back of the net before Miami scores. They think it's 5-2, but it's really 4-3. Deflated, they allow 2 more goals to be down 5-4 by the 2nd intermission.

In the 3rd, the referees review BC's goal again and decide it really shouldn't count, but because of stipulations in the rules, they just decide to give Miami a half goal. Muse goes ape over this and is disqualified. Milner comes in and stops all 35 shots that Miami throws on net to hold on for the win, 5-4.5.
