No offense but you listed the weak sisters of the poor. Minus BSU, AFA beating those teams isn't saying much at all. one of our doormat teams in the WCHA went 2-0-0 against the team that finished fourth in the CCHA.

yes sounds crazy but very close to being mostly true..we would win atlantic hockey, but thats because we play in hockey east, and attract better players..same with cha...we get alot of kids now from bchl, ajhl, oj, ej, ushl..most these kids are not elite talent, but very good players..dennehy has done greta job finding kids out west..it hansnt really showed record wise, because we are young, play tough teams every week...he had to completly overhaul the program, and with 12 one goal losses last year things are improving...no quastion this team is in bottom hockey east, but we would finish in the middle of the ecac, win atlantic, and cha... i could not say this 4 years ago, the talent was not there... last year dennehy landed cannata, best frosh goalie in the country, also this year get the 4th-5th leading scorer from the ushl, a french kid who is college ready...throw in the kids from out west who are already commited, things are looking up....our biggest selleing point is the league we play in..that enable dennehy to steal kids, telling them they will play alot right away..i have played -watched alot hockey, talk to alot of college coaches etc..because merimack is small, has low endowment, average rink, etc,they are the davies against the goaliths every week..there is talent there, the kids play hard, tough, and now can finally skate with anybody...

Merrimack is actually playing a real team out of conference this weekend so their sparklingly yet overinflated OOC record that relies heavily on playing teams that can barely skate, is about as relevant as Gumby's size shoe. I truly wonder why Hak scheduled these games? There are plenty of real teams out east and Hak usually schedules them. There must be some reason though. Maybe he loves Catholics?

goon agreed, just that most people think merrimack is the worrst team in the country..not the case not even close..we would finish in the lower half of ccha, wcha, those are like hockey east loaded with talented teams.. div. one..is saturated more than ever..alot of teams in atlantic hockey, cha, only have 10-11 schollies....merrimack has 18, plays in hockey east, near great city like boston....this team would finish in middle ecac, win atlantic-or come very close,and win cha...thats where the talent level is now..

action joe, watch this team play...they are not world beaters,and dont have elite players...but they are better than all the teams in atlantic hockey, and whatever that league huntsville plays in cha..thats a fact...its a young battle tested team, better than most think, thats all i am saying....hockey east up n down is better than ecac....another fact.....now take us out of hockey east, we attract less talent, and are not as competitive....

The first thing I agree with you on. I will not deny that this past year your team was a lot better than previous years. However, aside from your non competitiveness it is your higher than average dirty play that is unacceptable.

NHL CSS rankings (besides often falling behind other services) mean absolutely nothing in terms of current ability to be a college player. NHL draft positions are based solely on potential and readiness to play elite professional levels of hockey. And the worst part is that you already knew this and still tried to use it to defend the babbling words of a fellow Warrior fan.

It sounds like your team has a history of sucking. Is a goalie really going to make all that change? Missusmack isn't leaving HE so let the comparisons die before they become flesh eating zombies. Reality is a necessary evil for old folks like yourself and holding on to the one winning season from '89 sounds like the desparity of a meth addict looking for a week long fix.

joe cannata was one of the best frosh goalies..past mack teams were less talented, could not skate as well..as result did take alot penalites especially under serino..but the kids played hard, not dirty..college is really a clean game, so much equipment tough to get hurt... major junior, canadien college much dirtier..fact is canata was an unknown almost had one offer after bc high.. then went as last invite for the 18 usd team.. beat out 10 goalies, was third on depth chart, eventually became starter on that team..the kid was the best frosh goalie in hockey east, ask the coahes, scouts..kid from bu also very good...while playing for the u team 18 canata had interest from 12 other schools, he could have gone anywhere, but stayed loyal to dennehy who offered him first... as far as non competiteness they lost 12 one goal games last year, gave teams in hockey east fits...they will be better this year even with the loss of ricci.... but what do i know about hockey joe? i ahve forgotten more about the game, than you ever know..

saw the milan kid last year 4 times in person, twice on tv..i think he ends up in the nhl...cannata is just as good, two very nice prospects..difefrent styles as well... the kid from northestern was scary good, as well..
