Merrimack v. University of North Dakota

Re: Merrimack v. University of North Dakota

I will kick St. Augustine's arse with the help of everyone's favorite cartoon friends. You know who it is. The <strike>Snorks</strike> Raccoons!!!

Re: Merrimack v. University of North Dakota

Dirty, Quiz hasn't been to Merrimack in quite some time, so her view on the pizza in the arena is dated and incorrect. Now, a few miles from the arena is Sal's Pizza and that is quite good. But in the arena, no.

Quiz says sorry. :(

Your basing that on east coast pizza standards. By Midwest standards the Sodexho pizza is probably right up there. BTW by North Andover standards Sal's is a distant forth behind Bertucci's, Taki's, Pizza Factory, and Captain Pizza 114.

Re: Merrimack v. University of North Dakota

I'll be one of the few MC fans traveling to the Ralph this weekend.... Looking forward to seeing the arena (and the atmosphere).

Funny story - when making our hotel reservation I asked the woman on the phone what we could do in the off time for entertainment (sites to see, etc...) - she said that they have 2 movie theatres and that's about all the entertainment they have....lmao
She lied to you. There's a lot of bars in Grand Forks.

May I suggest The Diamond Lounge, Judy's, Johnny's, Borrowed Buck's, Big Daddy's, and The Hub (sorry, brian). I think you guys would fit in great there...:D

How is Frenchy not eligible? Spending too much time eating frog legs and not enough time going to classes?

Re: Merrimack v. University of North Dakota

The NCAA clearinghouse deals with the past academic records of incoming college athletes, so if there are eligibility issues, it probably has more to do with what he did in school either in France or when he played in the USHL, not what he did at Merrimack.

Pass the frogs legs.

Re: Merrimack v. University of North Dakota

I believe Providence College is run by the Dominican order.

That is correct. There are 8 Division 1 Hockey Catholic schools.

3 Jesuit: BC, Holy Cross, Canisius
1 Dominican: PC
1 Augustinian: Merrimack
1 Vincentian: Niagara UND plays them too 1/2/10
1 founded by the Sisters of Mercy: Mercyhurst
1 Independent founded by a Father from the Congregation of Holy Cross: Notre Dame a possible UND opponent on 1/3/10

So 3 or 4 times this season the Sioux can be converted to Catholicism and perhaps more if they encounter one of them in the NCAA's.

Ah, no worries.
At least if they go to the Hub they'll be able to get some excellent burgers.
