Adrian have had plenty of time to prepare and focus on this opening weekend. I expect the team to be flying.
If anyone has jitters I suspect it will be Marian.

Maybe, but taking Marian too lightly would be a mistake. It would be nicer if this tilt were in Dec or Jan, but let's be honest - it really doesn't matter. If these two teams meet in the MCHA playoffs, then it's gonna matter. Even though the MCHA is rapidly improving, both of these teams have absolutely zero chance at a Pool C bid and everyone knows it. I wish that weren't the case, but it is. Win the MCHA tourney or go home with no NCAA bid and that will be the case for at least for another season or two...
I agree with your ultimate conclusion regarding the Pool C bid. I don’t, however, think that it diminishes the importance of these two games. This is the most compelling MCHA series of the year (or at least until some other school says otherwise). A lot of people want to know how big the gulf is between Adrian and the next tier of MCHA teams. This weekend should be the best indication of this distance.
It could happen, but probably not till they get to Fond du Lac.I think Marian definitely has the advantage ...
If anyone is going to snap Adrian's long MCHA win streak this season, it will happen in this series.

That was my point.I believe they do not play in Fond du Lac this season. Unless Marian were to host Adrian in a first round playoff series, which is most unlikely.
This will be the most confident Marian team that Adrian will have faced, given their strong 3-0 start.
Those who have had an opportunity to see the Sabres play this year, report a vastly improved and very fast team, which bodes well for them and for the conference.
Adrian havn't played yet, and there's always a little anxiety until they hit the ice.
Have they peaked...............or have they improved ? Well let's take a look.
Stansik will be missed as he is so steady in both ends of the rink.....but then we are 4 proven seniors deep on "D". .....Waller, Klaver, Roman, Hineman +
Fogal has been a solid goaltender, setting records that may never be broken , but on nights when he wasn't on his "A game".......there were no better alternatives.
Freshman Mike Morissette has a great resume and provides depth that Adrian have never had at this key position. +
Skelly, Miller, and Dahlinger, have put up the best offensive stats in the nation......FOR THREE YEARS. +
Houston Workman, Kuzyk, Towns, Watson..and the list goes on..all great players, seniors and leaders. +
Jordan Watts a DI transfer from RPI, and rookie Josh Cousineau a gifted sniper, are new faces joining last years rookie scoring sensation Zach Graham +
The supporting cast ....of players deep and committed +
The families and the fans that create a winning atmosphere at Arrington Rink +........or any rink.
From where I sit, that's a lot of +'s for the Adrian Bulldogs, and if I were Marian, I'd be worried..... I'd be very worried.
Drop the puck already !
Thats why we look foreword to the weekend.Uphill battle? Yes
Foregone conclusion? No
