Re: Mar. 4 Scores: ECAC East Semis- Cadets try to tame Huskies, Spartans battle the B
First of all. great job Cadets, in tonights game against Southern Maine. Parker Carrol rose to the occasion when called on and although our passing was a little off at times, the Cadets worked solidly as a team. Norwich has come quite a way from the first few games of the season, both defensively and offensively. Your fans are proud of you!
Wow, that's all I can think to say about Babson beating Castleton. Congratulations Babson, you played a superb game. I was pretty sure Castleton was going to win and I kind of dreaded having Wick play them tomorrow night. Would have been a great game, but I fear the overly physical way Castleton plays (dare I say "dirty"). Between injuries and potential retaliation misconduct penalties, if Wick made it pass them and into the NCAA's, we might have been short a few players which would have hurt us greatly. I understand that the physical play is Castleton's strength as well as some great snipers but, I would rather see super passing, great skating, and less penalties on both sides.
As it may turn out, if Wick beats Babson tomorrow, and Castleton gets an at large bid, they may play each other in the quarter finals anyway. I will be sitting on the edge of my seat for that one if it happens. In the mean time, the game tomorrow will also have me on the edge, but not for fear of injuries and misconduct. I am pretty sure it is going to be a game of the best defense and the hot goalie. Babson is a very worthy opponent and I am looking forward to watching the "best team" in the ECAC East win.
Go Norwich!
