Mar. 4 Scores: ECAC East Semis- Cadets try to tame Huskies, Spartans battle the Beave

Re: Mar. 4 Scores: ECAC East Semis- Cadets try to tame Huskies, Spartans battle the B

Apparently, the ECAC and/or fastnet isn't allowing the web cast on radio of the Castleton Babson game, so I'd appreciate it if some one updated frequently.

Hoban with a snipe for Babson to give the Beavers a 1-0 lead. Beat Cinotti over the shoulder, blocker side.

Nice set up by Schneider and Donato.

7:45 left in first.,

Castleton gets two quick ones late in the second period.

3-2 Babson going to the third.

Prez.

Hows the game?

Babson played extremely well in the first period.

Castleton controlled the second period and looked like they were starting to get flustered toward the end, especially after giving up the shorthanded goal. However, they got two quick ones in the last two minutes and it put them right back in it.

14 minutes left. Babson still leads 3-2 and the Beavers just hit the pipe.

Castleton gets a close call.

Puck was sitting on the goal line, but from my vantage point it never looked like it completely crossed the line.

Ruled no goal on ice and confirmed by goal judge.

Tough break for CSC.

First of all. great job Cadets, in tonights game against Southern Maine. Parker Carrol rose to the occasion when called on and although our passing was a little off at times, the Cadets worked solidly as a team. Norwich has come quite a way from the first few games of the season, both defensively and offensively. Your fans are proud of you!

Wow, that's all I can think to say about Babson beating Castleton. Congratulations Babson, you played a superb game. I was pretty sure Castleton was going to win and I kind of dreaded having Wick play them tomorrow night. Would have been a great game, but I fear the overly physical way Castleton plays (dare I say "dirty"). Between injuries and potential retaliation misconduct penalties, if Wick made it pass them and into the NCAA's, we might have been short a few players which would have hurt us greatly. I understand that the physical play is Castleton's strength as well as some great snipers but, I would rather see super passing, great skating, and less penalties on both sides.
As it may turn out, if Wick beats Babson tomorrow, and Castleton gets an at large bid, they may play each other in the quarter finals anyway. I will be sitting on the edge of my seat for that one if it happens. In the mean time, the game tomorrow will also have me on the edge, but not for fear of injuries and misconduct. I am pretty sure it is going to be a game of the best defense and the hot goalie. Babson is a very worthy opponent and I am looking forward to watching the "best team" in the ECAC East win.
Go Norwich!

Beat that beat up!

Interesting call by Todd playing a walk-on in his 3rd game of the year in a semi-final. Why would he be on the power play; the one that had a shorty scored on it?
With all the success this year, why would this happen? Had to be a discipline problem with the other d, or you finally noticed that the o has carried some of the d all year. Too bad we gave up on some talent on the blueline (Artie too) from previous years that could have helped. Sad to see the wheels falling off now. Hope the ride isn't over yet. Missed Stu tonight! Go Spartans!!

There was a USM fan at Salem St. last night. Wished his team luck and told him James loved to play you guys.

Came up short last night but Norwich played tough and they adjusted well to USMs game plan...It's always a fun trip to Salem...Hope James has fun in all his future endeavors and you come over to the dark side and become a full fledged USM fan :)
