Re: Maine Summer 2013 - Pizza Season
Can't be true. These 2 or 3 fools speak for the thousands of Maine fans.
They also know who Abbot has spoken to
Fools
2 or 3 fools... Beaaaatch please.
Now, I won't say I have given a lot of money to this program. Nor can I say I attend a lot of games these days. But I can tell you given my life parameters I still believe. I can also tell you there is a time when I can count the number of games missed on one hand. That is a fact. Also, to add a sense of seasoning to the mix... a very dusty north Dakota jersey hangs in my closet with "Walsh" on its' back. I was more than happy to spend the trivial money.
However, and more importantly from a fundamental standpoint... I won't go to the games like I used to. I won't spend my money on donations in the name of Maine hockey like I used to.
I want a better product. One that can make me proud.
You think anyone that can hold season tickets for years... and spend big money for years as a donor won't read this board and contribute. It is amazing to me that this can happen despite everyone being called internet nutcases. The internet nutcases just might be the people that give the money for all I know. If not, they truly have the best interests of Maine hockey in heart. And they represent the Mainer, and the Mainer's disposition.
Now, having said all of this... While you may think I am extreme and don't think for the masses... you better take control of your own logic. I am a Maine fan. Always have been. I am feeling what Maine fans think. I am disappointed as they are. At the end of the day that gd excuse of management at the UMaine athletic office needs need to make US happy.
We are the ones that spend money. Right or wrong, we are the customers. We are not wrong... ever. If you want to say we are wrong, it is as much as misunderstanding fundamental business properties. And, in business, it is quit arrogant and foolish to ignore the voice of the customer.
We won't buy. We won't until it changes. We are not one or two or three idiots that speak for the masses.
Give us something to invest in.
-Customer
And if not, oh well. We are bottom of the barrel now. So nothing lost for your average Mainer.
If there is any sense of wisdom in these words, I hope it falls on the right ears.
But I guess that will never happen, and all this means is one disappointed man's feelings.
