B.J. Salenero will be joining the Waterloo Blackhawks next season. He had 8 goals and 17 assists last season with the North York Rangers of the OJHL He will be joined by Eric Schurhamer there next season...Waterloo looks to be the best team on paper right now in the USHL. Blackhawks have the rights to Liam Pecararo and Ryan Cloonan, but they won't make the jump to the USHL it looks like until 13-14 season.
Cloonan will be taking part in USA Hockey's Select 17 event this week in Rochester N.Y.

If he has the work ethic and puck-handling skills like his brother Gustav then he could be a interesting player to watch and see which College Team goes after him. TSN MacKenzie said it would be a tug of war between Major Jr Canadien Barrie Colts and NCAA College Hockey Maine Black Bears/Hockey East.....hopefully they(Dallas)like the College route compared to Canadien Jr.....time will tell,but bet it will be know in a short time(imo,week or less).Devin Shore #61 to Dallas. This mean much in terms of if he comes to Maine? Not sure how Dallas handles college players.

Surprised that Merchant didn't get Drafted,even in the 6th or 7th round.Correct although I will say he will know within the next month. I am trying to get in contact with Shore and the Stars today.

For reference, Dallas drafted Reilly Smith in the 3rd round and he stayed at Miami for 3 years.....Austin Smith was a 5th round pick for them stayed all 4 years at Colgate....Closer to home they took Alex Chiasson in the 2nd round and left him at BU for 3 years....Them and Scott Winkler at Colorado College are the NCAA guys listed for the Stars on HockeysFuture.
So as long as Maine remains a positive atmosphere, if Shore shows you figure you get 2-3 years out of him.

I talked to Devin and the Stars today. The Stars are happy with him going to UMaine...Still waiting to hear from Vancouver still.

University of Maine recruit Devin Shore was projected to be selected in the second round of the NHL Entry Draft last weekend.
The Ajax, Ontario native just squeaked in as the final pick (61st overall) in the second round taken by the Dallas Stars.

Wil Merchant will be taken part in Minnesota's Development Camp next week as an invitee.
Liam Pecararo will be taking part in the Select 16's next week in Rochester, N.Y.
Bob Corkum will serve as an assistant coach for the USA at the Ivan Hlinka U-18 tournament in the Czech Republic/Slovakia next month; Ryan Cloonan who tried out for the team at the Select 17's did not make Hlinka team.

Liam Pecarero had a goal and three assists in five games at the Select 16's but wasn't named to the U-17 team that will take part in the 5 nation tournament in the Czech Republic from August 7th-11.
As for the Renouf's, eliteprospects.com says Jonah and Nate have no relation to Daniel
