My comment was just "IF" something has happen...don't have any info to say it has...just what has been rumored out. So HOPEFULLY its nothing.

"UMaine's Ryan Lomberg has been charged with assualt & disorderly conduct per Orono PD from an incident that took place on April 27th. He is due to appear in court on 6/17."

You mean the incident where he marched half a mile to the baseball player's house, forced himself in the door, and started swinging? I was at Orono during that time, and heard the story from both baseball players and hockey players, and the stories were pretty much the same. Hamilton was ****ed the baseball player was hanging out with Hamilton's ex (a volleyball player), went to the kid's house (with backup) and started a fight. Hamilton pretty much owned up to it, too. Think he plead guilty, had community service.

Actually, no. I could allege almost anything. The police would then investigate and decide my allegations were hogwash. If the police decided there was merit to the allegations, they could refer it to the district attorney for prosecution. The prosecutor then decides whether or not they could get a conviction on the evidence they have at that time. If they think there is a chance they could get a conviction, they press charges. That's where we are right now.

Gendron has suspended him indefinitely. We won't know his fate for a while.

i saw something that said gendron had to leave the coach's convention in florida to return to maine to deal with this.... guessing it'll be more than a game or two... (obviously suspended indefinitely for the time being)

Never like seeing these things.

If Gendron left Florida for this then I feel it is a good bet (insert BC betting joke here) Lomberg is probably in deep shat and is going to be in the Gendron doghouse for a long friggin time even if he gets away from potential legal (and deportation?) issues.
