Re: Maine Hockey 2013-2014 Part 1: Red Dawn

Uhhh...the posted schedule has Lowell coming to Alfond December 7.

See:

But I should have known better than to bother.
Tell you what, go to Hockeypuck's post - #342 - and see the schedule you posted before you edited it. Really, how dumb do you take us to be? Note also, the posts before you edited that refer to 8 home conference games, since that is what you originally posted. Nice try. I should have known better.

The edit was made two days ago. But whatever. Add me to your ignore list so you won't be bothered by anything I post.

Two exhibition games in January on Tuesday nights. Seems kind of an odd time to schedule them.

Re: Maine Hockey 2013-2014 Part 1: Red Dawn

Maine alumnus Dave Wilson will be the goaltender coach.

Wow/oh no...what..? I hope I am very wrong but I am not too positive on this move if true. And before some jump in and point to the end of his Senior year, just remember his playing days to that point...granted he was brought in after Matt Lundin decided to leave...well I am hoping for the best, just not really sold at this time...

Re: Maine Hockey 2013-2014 Part 1: Red Dawn

I like the pick, he is a volunteer asst, they get paid diddly squat, you ain't getting Patrick Roy to come in for a few grand. I think he'll work hard and the players will like him

Re: Maine Hockey 2013-2014 Part 1: Red Dawn

At least they brought someone in to coach the goalies. Keep in mind, sometimes people are better teachers than players. Knowledge is different than execution. I know what a proper golf swing looks like but can I execute it consistantly? No, but I can still show you. Just because you don;t have the physcal gifts doesn't mean you don't have the knowledge and skills to teach.

You mean like Shawn Walsh? :)

Re: Maine Hockey 2013-2014 Part 1: Red Dawn

Yeah. I was about to say same thing. The man who led Maine hockey to glory, Shawn Walsh, was a third string goaltender. Lets give Dave a chance.
