Will Gendron turn the program around? Who will help him? Will the internet nutcases be left seeing red? Does anybody know the penalty for the use of bad puns/idioms?

with Corkum and Kerluke officially gone, the start of the new regime coincides nicely with the start of the new thread...

You saved the world from my punny thread title...for now!

Re: Maine Hockey 2013-2014 Part 1: Red Dawn

I'd like to see Gene Reilly come back to Orono as an older assistant and then see Gendron go out and get a young go-getter to scour Canada and the US for talent.

Any chance we'd ever see Bangor native Derek Damon back at his alma mater in some capacity?

Re: Maine Hockey 2013-2014 Part 1: Red Dawn

Wow, what have you got against Derek? He was an outstanding Maine player and I for one really enjoyed his hustle and feistiness and scoring touch as well, and he has done very well in Europe playing professional hockey. I'm not suggesting that he's ready to start coaching at the division one college level right away but when his playing days finally end, and if he decides to go the coaching route, I think that his knowledge of the game along with his competitive nature would serve him well and I'd love to see him back at UMaine someday.
