Can't figure out why Goose isn't in Detroit. He wasn't great in his own end, but he wasn't awful either, and the Wings could use some scoring right about now.

Red Wings waived Patrick Eaves today, and assigned Jordin Tootoo to Grand Rapids. Guessing Gustav will be getting the call.

The student line technically started this morning. The arena personnel are letting people wait inside until 2 hours before the game, then they have to go outside.

Who else is going to the game?

7-0. Nice 2 on 1, Brown to Morgan, who one-timed the shot. 2nd goal of the night for Morgan.

Re: Maine Hockey '13-14: Are you Red-E?

well, that was fun. last year, maine scored 36 goals at home all season... they're at 25 so far this year....

Re: Maine Hockey '13-14: Are you Red-E?

From what I understand if Detroit sent anyone down to the AHL they'd have to be placed on waivers, Nyquist was the lone exception so that's why they sent him down instead of someone else.

yeah it was a salary cap issue and because Gus had "options" left to use a baseball term

I dont recall Maine ever putting a beating on BU like that. We were pretty evenly-matched in my day and even when they had the down years they usually got up for the Bears. That was epic. My only regret is that Jackie wasnt there to see it.

Oh, and dont worry about complacency...they practice at 930 tomorrow morning. Still, the players rave about Red. They love him, but they also fear and respect him. He may have been the best hire in the athletics department since Joanne Palumbo.

The interim AD was there tonight and he tried to personally thank every single fan who came to the game. It left an impression.

Maine is ever so lucky to have Seth and I hope he gets the job on a permanent basis. I think someone with Maine roots who cares about the school/state is a million times better than some out of state 'expert.' He's a genuinely decent person who would put his heart and soul into the job. He was a pretty good athlete too.

Maine won 8-1 at WBA back in 91.... and 7-1 in 87.... or so says the media guide....

Awesome win,POed I wasn't there. Doubt that happens if Jackie was still coach but he isn't so...
Its one game so I'm not reading much into it, 2 pts in HE, win against a rival, and Maine shows some offense.

A good win, a confidence builder, but nothing more (well 2 pts:)) . Methinks Quinn's coaching ability will get tested early with the group he has in Boston

I know what you mean. Joanne was on my sister's hoops team in high school. Even then she was something special. I mean her basketball knowledge of course.
