22 frozen fours and counting, yeah, BC was a nobody before York showed up, no doubt about it!!

22 before York showed up? Let's see, 6 when practically no one played hockey, 5 more in the ECAC era and 2 more under Len Ceglarski in the Hockey East era. Far be it from me to challenge the mighty math skills of a BC fan, but I don't think that's 22.

7 power plays for Bentley. Two for Too Many Men. JFC.

2-1 Final.

Two goals for Stu Higgins. Guess his injury healed up nicely. That's his first multi-goal game and 2nd GWG (OT vs Alabama-Huntsville). Connor Leen assisted on both goals and Jake Rutt added one on the second goal. Maine hit two more posts tonight, bringing the season total to seven through four game.

Both teams were dismal on the PP (0-7). Or you could say both teams had very good penalty kills. Maine missed two empty net shots in the closing seconds that would have secured the win and eliminate the tying goal. Both goal tenders played well with Ouellette one goal better.

Maine will probably ping more pucks off the iron this year than they actually bury... This team can't shoot.

(Quick football reference: saw the game today, and it wasn't nearly as close as the final score might suggest... Maine's sophisticated offense, crisp execution of same, and the plethora of skill-guys on the roster won that one in the first half. If they come home from Philly with a W next week I see them as a lock for a FCS berth.)

It appears Higgins can, the 2nd goal was a spot picked and he hit it. The style of play is way more entertaining that's for sure. They go after the other team on the PK. Marty played well except for that first goal, he should have that. Lonborg is a pest and has some wheels. But its obvious Red needs a sniper or 2 and guys who can hit the net. I'm pretty sure he knows that:)

And just where in my post did I say that BC was in 22 frozen fours before York showed up? Since your reading comprehension obviously isn't that good, my point was that they've been in a lot more than the 8 or 9 that York has taken them to, hence the reference to, 22 and counting, with an emphasis on "counting".

BEFORE YORK SHOWED UP.

OMG, are you really THAT clueless!! I said BC has 22 FF appearances and counting, the majority of which were obviously before the York era. So if they have 22 and York's only been to 8 or 9, then that means they've been to 13 or 14 without (i.e. before York). My point is that BC certainly was a top program before York showed up and the period from the end of the Ceglarski era through the Cedorchuck/Milbury fiasco was the exception, not the rule. You could be the coach at BC and they are still going to attract better talent than Maine.

Go away, little troll.

He can't, He loves Maine hockey too much. I know its true, he just doesn't want to admit it in front of his BC buddies, in the closet so to speak

I've said it 100 times before and I'll probably say it 100 times again, I have absolutely nothing against Maine, I've summered there my whole life, I just get a laugh at all the Mainuhs who assume it's a given that Red is going to bring the program back to the glory days of the past.

I don't think anyone thinks its a given, we're hopeful he can do better than Timmay. Just come clean with your love of Maine hockey, you know you want to
