I also take this pledge. My name won't be on it, but if I win Powerball you'll all be able to tell by Maine's recruiting
Ive heard rumors from folks close to the program I wont repeat, I cant speak for their truth, but if partially true Barr wouldnt spend $1 on Poirier, because of his search for culture players.Maine got 500,000 what are they using it for if you can't retain players like Poirier ?
I want to be careful in wording this because I don't feel it's right to sh-t on leaving players, as I was very excited to watch Poirier this year and missed him greatly post-injury. From night one, his demeanor didn't look like a Barr culture guy. Just the way he carries himself doesn't seem to fit. Obviously, he's tremendously talented and most certainly outplayed his 5th round draft status this year.Ive heard rumors from folks close to the program I wont repeat, I cant speak for their truth, but if partially true Barr wouldnt spend $1 on Poirier, because of his search for culture players.
Theres always a bit of truth in rumors.
Cannot confirm but expect some movement soon. Very soon.Any word on players transferring in?

No but there was a rumored scrap at practice between Poirier and Lipinski. Not sure if that factored into things at all but I don't believe JP played at all after that.Poirier put it to Barrs wife or something? Poirier was the most talented player returning by far
Not gonna lie, I'm surprised Lipinski is the one to stick around. He was in Barr's doghouse as much as anybodyNo but there was a rumored scrap at practice between Poirier and Lipinski. Not sure if that factored into things at all but I don't believe JP played at all after that.
I'm surprised too, but who knows he might go as well. It's only been 12 hrs since the tp opened. Not gonna lie, I'm surprised Lipinski is the one to stick around. He was in Barr's doghouse as much as anybody
I completely agree with this. Not gonna lie, I'm surprised Lipinski is the one to stick around. He was in Barr's doghouse as much as anybody
I'm not going to feed this because I've been characterized by some as "shitting on the player on the way out" which I'm honestly not speaking for myself when I pass on what I hear, I actually like all the players even if they drive me nuts with their play sometimes. But let's just say this didn't work out and leave out the rest. We will need to fill this void, period. You can only have so many grinders and pray for a 2-1 or 1-0 game.I completely agree with this.

He was legitimately injured which is why he didn't play the rest of the way. If he was getting close to a return I'm sure a practice scrap probably didn't help his case. Can't blame him for leaving then. No one with his talent is going to sit in stands half the season.

The talent is undeniable with him which is likely why he's going to be one of the better players that hits the portal this cycle. But when Barr talks about culture problems I think he's probably one of the bigger culprits in that room.
Sounds like Murls was spot on as Petter Wickström Stumer is coming in from Canisius.Matt murley on spittin chicklets game notes pod last Wednesday said Maines bringing in a good Swedish goalie.
This kid is 6'6"! He didn't get a ton of run but he did make 72 saves in one game against LindenwoodSounds like Murls was spot on as Petter Wickström Stumer is coming in from Canisius.
