That is, most of the old timers have given up their tickets and UMaine wants 50 bucks a game for them, hahahahaha, you'd have to smoke your breakfast lunch and dinner to pay 50 bucks to see this team

so no home wins this calendar year for the 12-13 season... none.

A home win in January can come against Merrimack or Mercyhurst... thank God someone scheduled the 39th and 43rd ranked team in the nation for Maine to play during January
of course, those games are not going to be guaranteed wins... Vermont is number 44 and Timmy's system did not exactly handle UVM all that well

That's debatable. In Maine's darkest hour we still can't get a sweep!!!

3 points out of 4 on the road/most teams in the lower part of Hockey East would take that...like the 5th thru 10th place teams.

I figure there will be a lot of national media poking around looking for some kind of angle on Jovan. Probably take up some of Steve's time. The tragedy itself is unspeakable.

Ya know, I watch and re-watch the games and try to divine why Timmy hasn't figured-out some way to direct this team to mediocrity. They can skate pretty well and they seem to be less hopeless in terms of overall ability than his disastrous-in-general Sill/Czuba/Marrone squad way back when... Maine is a punchless team, yes, but has enough talent to flirt with .500, if you ask me.
Priceless is right in saying that cyclic down-years are the norm these days, but the better programs don't fall as far in off-years as Maine has recently. This season might turn out to be as bad as any has ever been.

Thanks for the explanation.......just sounded like you had some big info. more directly related to the UM athletic program. I don't think that Steve Abbott will spend much time on the Jovan story at all. Cosgrove held a press conference today and Jovan had been out of school for about 3 years, so I really don't see much of a connection there as it relates to Steve Abbott losing focus on the issues at hand.

I chuckled when I finally made it to the arena parking lot to see 2 barren empty lots being guarded so I can no longer park there. $23 at the door for Vermont!!! Once inside trying to make it over to the potato bar,groups of people standing chatting leaving no room to get past because there isn't any room to begin with! I wonder what they paid for that wonderful scoreboard that DOESN'T SHOW THE SCORE!!! The refs were ripe for criticism throughout the weekend but the GD band drowns everyone out when its time to yell at them for a blatant missed call! How can you have any kind of home advantadge when we serenade them with happy showtunes like we are having a wonderful time?? AHHH!!!!

I just cannot stand this program right now. It makes me sick. Makes me sick to see that loser Whitehead trying to make the fans feel better in a post 'game' interview. We should be patient he says. Patient my azz. We have been patient long enough with his ineptitude. Just go Timmay, just leave now so someone else can begin the long process of picking up the pieces of this once proud program.
