Yes, I got it(not very nice of you:( ) but was again just being sarcastic. I thought the tongue smiley would give it away.

TIMMAY's gonna run Corkum out of town too? Gonna boot a few more guys off the team because he can't coach?

UConns Hockey Coach(Marshall)has stepped down,has had medical issues this season,UConn will go with there Assistant the rest of the Season and then they are looking for a New Coach with a Nat. Search in the makings....Ideal time to buyout/fire TW and let him go and throw his Hat in the Ring for UConns next Head Coaching job...less pressure for TW and this could be HIS program and not have to hear the whispers of Shawn Walsh...over and over and over...he has resented the very notion of SW from the get-go...he needs a NEW start and so does the Maine Program....a win/win for everyone.

So they spend all that money to make Alfond Hockey East legal and a year later they are going D3, that would be typical of a public institution

I gotit. We're not thinking big enough picture. The entire University is transferring to Portland ?? They will become the University of Southern Maine Huskes II?

I do wonder, because you were intentionally vague, you gave zero hints beyond that it doesn't involve coaching and it is negative, and you are whining that people are throwing out off the wall guesses.

You're right, this is everyone's fault but yours. :rolleyes:

Exactly!

I am sorry I said anything about it. If I divulged details I would be be betraying a confidence. I can say it has to do with the next AD (assuming Abbott doesn't come back) and his dislike of the hockey program. It goes way beyond whoever is in the coach's office. Best-case scenario is that Abbott stays right where he is for the next few years, despite his treating the AD job as a hobby.

How would anyone know that the next AD hates hockey or the program when their is no candidate? I'm guessing that the current president or chancellor? hates the hockey program, probably hates college athletics in general. I think you are right you'd be better off saying nothing when you hear these rumors
