Go to FL Get some fresh air and hopefully fresh thinking.....and HOPE that 2013 is a better 1/2 Can they dedicate themselves to 12 weeks of hard work? Surely Tim isn't going to motivate them to it, Corks would but Tim empowers the slackers...

I agree with this article................Tim does not want anybody to go on the offense, even on the power play,Shore included............SMURFS........

The power play would look interesting with Rutt, Hutton, Norman and Leen at the points and one of the forwards running around in front of the net. Don't know that I've ever seen a 1-4 on the PP. Who knows, it could work.

got busted selling drugs and was kicked out of school. Ended up at Lowell, played a bunch of games, but it turned out he was ineligible and they had to forfeit them all.

Mercyhurst is 8-6-1 overall/7-3-0 AHA/1-3-1 Out of Conference...right now no common opponent to Maine,unless Maine plays Ferris State in Florida next weekend(Mercyhurst lost to them 7-3 and tied them 3-3 in a 2 game series)...

At least Norman gets his shots on net.

All I can say about Larry's column is that he shows a keen grasp of the obvious. But there's no way this team is making the HE tourney, so Larry's basically saying "this season's done, but you can at least start the building blocks for the next few."

I suggested they go to a youth movement way back on November 5. He's a little behind the times. :p

Cornell leads the team with37 shots on net....that is getting pucks on net,,,and yet not on PP. Nemec has over 25 and is not on PP. ? Does that make sense, if the measure is shots on net?

Whitehead hasn't shot anything on net in 12 tortuous years. Why should his players?

Funny stat with how he says Maine has outshot the opponent...well outshot maybe,but what % are on the net and the goaltender,from my vantage point of watching the games...a high % are wide/high of the net and another % is right in the bread-basket of the goalie or he has a clear view of their shots...on net maybe 30%..? And that could be too high of a % by Maine.

Priceless nails it. Play the freshmen and sophomores. Now, Right Now before they get fed up and leave a sinking program. There's no investment to be made in the Jrs and Srs at this point. All due respect to Joey, Nemec et.al. Mahoney may be stating the obvious, but he's doing it in a forum for everyone to read. Four non-league games coming right up. Start Matt Morris in goal one game. Tell me the down side. None!

The down side... if these kids don't develop, like the current players you want to bench, it will be deja vu in another year. Just sayin'. ;)

Just noticed that Maine is now the worst team at scoring goals in all the nation... I figured they'd struggle, but I didn't think they'd be this bad at the mid-way point.
