LSSU Lakers 2014 off season thread

What I can tell you is this. Several people came on here and said that they know this did not occur. I am not one of those people but I do know that his contract was extended multiple times. I also have stated I find it very hard to believe that you would get through the vetting process without meeting minimum requirements especially at the school you are seeking employment. Do you think anyone is being interviewed that did not provide transcripts or have their information verified? If you google articles from back then it seems LSSU came after Joey and not the other way around. He had other job offers at the time so I'm sure the job was written to fit him but I cannot say. I can also tell you that this was not told to me as being an issue that was discussed by the selection committee and I'm sure it would have been from and center. I mentioned what I was told was discussed by the committee. I'm not the only one on here that has talked to committee members. Bill and I are the only ones that have posted what they heard.

Wouldn't be the first time that Lake State screwed something up, in this case, the vetting of Shawhan. Why, then, did he get "hired" on at Northern as a grad assistant? And why did he take classes eventually gaining his bachelor's degree from NMU? Can someone answer these questions?

Re: LSSU Lakers 2014 off season thread

Joey Shawhan is at the top of a very short list of candidates.

And don't count out the possibility he may have his sights set on Francis Anzalone as an assistant, should he get the job.

Hey, I do know that Lake State hired a guy to work in the Quarterdeck who had done 20 years for murder, and Lake State didn't know about it until he quit and told them about it. So it wouldn't be the first or last incident of sloppy background checking by HR.

I remember we all thought Roque was going to Buffalo and how did that workout ? Let us just wait and find out who the coach is and not have anyone being coach until it all happens .

Compared to CANUSA and the Army; the QD earns a Michelin Star
Anyone else remember the good old days when about once a year some students would remove the leading C and the ending A from CANUSA in the CANUSA Hall sign?

From a bathroom wall in a South Hall in 1980, "Flush twice, its a long way to CANUSA"

Re: LSSU Lakers 2014 off season thread

The Lakers are Rick Comleys team. If he like Francis you will see him in other wise he stays in New York.

Honestly FA should be staying where he is.

When did Rick Comley become AD? Francis is going to write his own ticket to greatness and doesn't need Lake Superior.

Looks like the college has improved their vetting process at least with Comley handpicking the straws.
