During his time at LSSU, Roque was fined for disparaging comments about officials, and among other highlights, received a game misconduct and a 1 game suspension for violating a league good conduct policy; after said incident, went so far as to file an actual police report against a lineman...now that linesman may very well have said what Roque claimed during a heat-of-the argument moment, and that is wrong of the linesman but at the same time I think it's a pretty well known concession among adults that during heated exchanges people often go over the line and say things that they don't really mean....I think most people would have chalked up a "threat against my life" during a heated exchange from an appointed college hockey linesman as simply terrible judgement, not a real life threat, it's not like the guy was a mobster....point being that clearly Roque had the capability in him of being a hot-head and using poor judgement during and after intense situations, so although he may not be a crazed lunatic at all times, he certainly has notable incidents of "excited behavior", incidents that many other "even keeled" coaches do not have on their record, so saying unequivocally that Roque couldn't be a hot head *at times* is simply false.
As far as Whitten goes, I didn't get a chance to catch the news conference, is it archived anywhere? I like that others mentioned that he plans on making recruiting phone calls tonight, he's clearly not messing around and we need that hunger if we're going to succeed.
