As a long-time season ticket holder and a LSSU alumnus, I can only echo what a great ambassador Gil Somes was for Laker hockey. I had many chances to be around Gil and Marge at Laker games downstate as well as at Frozen Fours. Always friendly. always happy to see you, and always positive about the team and the players. My thoughts and prayers to the family

They all spent some time in the USHL. And yes, two of them finished in the BCHL and one in the CCHL.

The USHL is the strongest Junior A league in the US. The BCHL is generally considered to be the strongest Junior A league in Canada. Overall the USHL is stronger than the BCHL. Both leagues produce a lot of NCAA Div 1 recruits.

We will be at Saturdays game but not Fridays . We have some good friends who are huge Bowling Green fans that we sit with. Always fun watching a game with friends who are rooting for the other team . Easy Street bar is a great place to eat and close to the stadium .
