LSSU Lakers 2014-15

Re: LSSU Lakers 2014-15

Does anyone know of a recruit list or a run down of all schools' reported commitments to date, broken up by their birth year? Obviously with schools not being able to comment on a recruit until an NLI is signed, it's hard to keep tabs on who is committed where. Just wondering so I could try to follow some of the guys in our pipeline over the next few years.

College Hockey, Inc. has a running list of commitments and the year in which they are scheduled to start playing.

There is also Chris Heisenberg's Recruit list.

Note that when you click on the Listing by College tab at the bottom, it also shows player birth years and when they are projected to go to their respective schools. That projection is sometimes only a best guess. Sometimes it's off by a season or so.

Between College Hockey Inc and Heisenberg, they cover recruits pretty well. They are not always 100% accurate. For example, both fail to show Hans Gorowsky as being committed to the Lakers in their respective listing by college tabs. He's a Jim Roque recruit, whom I assume is still coming to LSSU next year.

Eliteprospects also keeps a pretty up-to-date list by year. They show the Gorowsky kid.

Them too, although they are missing Jaden Anderson who likely will be with the Lakers in 2017-18 (maybe 2016-17). I guess the bottom line is there are at least three good sources and any one of them may or may not be 100% up-to-date and correct, so it's best to check all.

Another one you can reference is College Hockey News. Not always the most accurate and up to date.

I like Heisenberg's spreadsheet and College Hockey Inc.

Re: LSSU Lakers 2014-15

Thanks, I really like College Hockey Inc. CHN was terribly outdated and I found exactly what I needed. Now time to focus on beating Northern!
Plenty of guys to follow. At this point I think we have 11 guys in the pipeline, 10 of them forwards. There is also a transfer in school, another forward. And there have been a couple of more guys in for visits.

Re: LSSU Lakers 2014-15

"Oh, for October?"....................is Coach Whitten going to go all of October without his first win? Whata way to start...........come on Lakers!!!

Worst losing streak to start a season in team history. :( At least it's not the longest winless streak to start a season YET. The 1998-99 team was winless in their first nine games (0-7-2). A split at UAA will make the Lakers avoid more negative history.

I still have trust in coach Whitten even during these tough times. We must have patience!

Losing Tyler Marble didn't seem to hurt the lakers as Marble is posting a 833 save per-centage with a 4.5 goals against.

Hard guy to figure out. Committed to the Lakers very young, reportedly based upon family friendship with Jim Roque. Struggled his first couple of years of Junior hockey, to the extent I think the Lakers may have given up on him, which led to the potential overload situation in net had he followed through and came to the Lakers last season. He started playing better in his next to last Junior season, then had an excellent season with the Eagles, then decided to go elsewhere which turned out to be CC. Missed all his freshman season at CC due to injury. Playing regularly so far this season, but as you point out his stats aren't very good. Wonder if he's playing bad, not getting much defensive support in front of him, or some of both?
