Ron Joyce bought 100% after Hortons death. He eventually merged the company with Wendy's, where he became a majority shareholder. The company has since been spun out from under the Wendy's umbrella.

She sold for something like C$1.00 million -- and then sued to try to get back into the company after it went nuts. I think I saw that on CBC many years ago.

PLEASE NOTE: this post was made prior to Kleinendorst's resignation, and I had no advance knowledge of it.

GFM <— generally going to keep the UAH stuff in the appropriate place, but since I'd leaked our stuff over here, I thought that I'd state it for the record.

Think again....I remember when Anzalone was hired back the school/team courted both the Sault Star and the Sault This Week and begged reporters from both papers to add more coverage of Laker Hockey...either paper couldn't be bothered. Go to Soo Ontario and interest in Laker Hockey ranks just behind the 60 and over Italian bocci league. Even when Lake State was the preeminent college hockey power and Canadian students from Soo Ontario made up over 20% of LSSU's student body (less than 8% today), maybe about five hundred Canadians would attend the games tops. Yes I know that sounds like a lot today but unless the program vaults back to the top (highly unlikely, especially with JimBo Roque running the clown show) and the canadian student body at Lake State triples (better chance of tripling the population of Soo Michigan since tuition at Lake State is now several thousand dollars more than colleges in or near Soo Ont.) you can forget about hundreds of Canadians coming to the games....you can spend thousands in advertisement over there and you'd be lucky to draw a dozen.

People on here are thinking gimmicks will bring Laker fans back. How about doing what most successful programs do....WIN .

If you don't fire that clown Roque another terrible season, fans should boycott and first home series put "fire Roque" around the Norris center. Does anyone know any Board Members that can help?

It doesn't matter what. Truth says, the LSSU Lakers have some of the greatest fans doesn't matter if they like the coach or not, or if they win or not.

And how exactly does that benefit Laker Hockey? That's right, it doesn't. Just another terrible idea in a long list of terrible ideas on this forum the past several weeks.

Ousted UAA A.D. Cobb called UAA President "mentally ill" in a recent interview, saying he sold the school to lobbyists and did not consult any athletic staff or players before ousting him. I guess he missed that vote of no confidence by the Alaska State Hockey Assoc :).

If UAA wasn't a gong show earlier, it appears to have moved toward that direction.

I can't wait to visit the Norris Center.

I want to enter the arena just to see the pictures of great coaches from Frank Anzalone to Jim Roque on the wall.

Does the Norris Center have a bell that Jeff Jackson.brought in?

It rings when you win.

Normally, I would reply with sarcasm. I won't though, because you are incapable of understanding anything that involves some form of thinking. Every time you write something, it reminds me of Dustin Hoffman in Rain Man. You just keep mumbling the same thing over and over under your breath. Maybe you would like a little hand-held so you can watch Jeopardy?
