Re: LSSU Hockey 2011-2012

You're correct, Bill. Last nights game was a tie. They had a great opportunity to steal a victory at Michigan and really didn't get the job done. Yes, they played well, and did a lot of things right, and Kapalka was outstanding. But they are still snake-bit on putting the puck in the net. They were facing a goalie with very little D-1 experience, and couldn only manage 2 goals on him, while scoring twice on their own net (sort of...).

Lakers shouldn't be happy with a split next weekend. They need to be hungry and want the sweep. We don't need excuses for Friday nights, we need results.

Re: LSSU Hockey 2011-2012

You are an illiterate moron... You can't spell you can't even get your TBA B#llS#!t right at the end of your posts... Your kid was not a star... HE WAS LAZY AND AFRAID TO GO IN THE CORNER!!! STOP!!!! GO AWAY!!! You don't like LSSU ... You DON'T Like Jim... You don't like women... WE GET IT!!! MOVE ON!!!! Pick a team in Plymouth and direct your sexual frustration at them... We are so over how your little Nickey Poo got screwed by LSSU... He got a free education out of it... If Lake State is such a bad place why didn't he just leave? If he was such a great player why didn't he go somewhere else and play? Let me pose this question to you Mr. Sellers... If Rick Schofield, Will Acton, Dominic Monardo, or Zach Trotman were to get cut (or as you say screwed over by Jim) don't you think they would have transferred out of LSSU to continue their (proper use of their ... there) hockey career else where? OH WAIT ... Case in point... Dan Barczuk cut from LSSU Transferred out and is playing at Adrian College... Guess Nickey Poo just didn't have the heart to keep playing WHAT A SUPER STAR!!!

Poor Truth Boy. Do you need a tissue for your tears?

I know Truth Squad will come fully loaded with insults to Roque if the Lakers lose again Friday. I sure hope the Lakers sweep Miami so Truth Boy continues to cry. The Lakers are well overdue for a sweep.

Re: LSSU Hockey 2011-2012

Truth really ought to be embarrassed about his behavior/comments on these boards. I'm sure Nick Sellers sure is if he is in fact his father.

Of course he'll just be back spewing his nonsense as to how we're all blind Roque supporters.

Re: LSSU Hockey 2011-2012

Seen the first game up front and personal and watched some of it with the non dressers. Didn't see the second game. Only seen one weak goal maybe and that was on a break away. K2 over extended and looked like it went through the five but I was impressed he made it into position it was a good move/shot. I also seen the D break down a couple of times (including that break away) and it appear M blew by them while they looked flat footed. I also seen 3 scoring opportunities in the first period where Hunwick was out of position, one hit him, second went wide (half the net open), third I believe hit pipe. Anyways we could talk about shooting but what I would rather say and the big difference is that offensively more of the M offensive lines played together and passed the puck in front of the net to beat the goalie. I might be wrong and game tapes would show this and are more accurate but I thought I seen several times an opportunity where the LSSU puck carrier could have passed creating a one time situation only to take the straight low percentage shot. The shots were even in quantity but not in quality. K2 was challenged more. Anyways as for Sat. I say it is a tie/win LOL. Better than a tie/lost and it is good they got some points this weekend as many thought they would get none. Oh I also believe many of skaters are better than M's we do have some speed.

Re: LSSU Hockey 2011-2012

The Internet stream of the Laker Hockey Show cut out about 3/4 of the way through the show this evening. Bill Crawford was talking to Andrew Dommett at the time. Did anyone catch the whole show locally in the Soo area? If so, was anything of note said in the last 15 minutes of the show? Bill C often asks Jim Roque how recruiting is going. If he asked that tonight, did Jim say if any potential recruits were scheduled for visits?

Last week he said that they were trying to schedule a visit with a recruit in late January. I believe he said that the recruit is a forward.

Re: LSSU Hockey 2011-2012

I sat next to Tyler Marble's family last Saturday at Yost. (They have children that attended both U-Michigan and LSSU.) Sounds like the Lakers have a solid young man coming in. Good luck to him.

Re: LSSU Hockey 2011-2012

Interesting about Tyler coming in. If K2 doesn't turn pro early will the lakers carry four goalies?
I don't see them carrying four goalies. If K2 comes back, they will ask Marble to play one more year in Juniors (which he is eligible to do). If he doesn't want to do that, then they may have a problem. I think Roque is trying to get Ravn to leave by ignoring him, freezing him out in effect, but even if Ravn left they have issues on what to do. I think Ravn is getting very little if any scholarship money, so if he left that wouldn't free up much money to give to Marble (unless K2 leaves). That could also be an issue from Marble's perspective.

Re: LSSU Hockey 2011-2012

Lakers get a verbal committment from matt johnson who plays for amarillo bulls of the nahl.

Re: LSSU Hockey 2011-2012

I would like to see T.J. Wees fill in for Perrault tomorrow night but i highly doubt it. He did look good at Ferris when he was dressed for the saturday game.

Yeah, I doubt Wees will play tomorrow. I think the defensive pairings will be:

Trotman - Czuczman
Haines - Pobur
Bruneteau - Sternberg

Re: LSSU Hockey 2011-2012

Refs really sucked tonight. Truth Boy would of officiated better than these bozos.

The blame everyone else game has begun, as has the second half Roque slide, a sequal that keeps on running year after year after year after year yet you people keep buying tickets hoping the script has changed, yet it is the same scripts and wont change unless a change at the top is made, which will never ever happen up there. You people are so predictible

The Truth Is Out There.....

Gawlik and Berkibile did your game. Don't know much about them, converted linesmen like Langseth??

Either way, that is what to expect in the CCHA- missed calls (cough*Perrault cough) and the swing from the reactionary call (from the crowd) to the indecisive call.

Any more I cringe when Aaron or McInchak don't do games... and that isn't saying much.

As far as the Lakers- overall I see a much more mature, offensively capable team that isn't going away. This team can play with just about anyone especially if Kapalka is on. Have had a rash of poorly timed penalties lately, though... will need to change that overaggressive behavior no matter how good the PK is.

Keep in mind that the CCHA is about as competitive now as I have seen it in years. It's tough to win every night in this league this season.

JMHO from what I saw last weekend.
