Lowell/BU: Shipping up to Worcester Edition

Re: Lowell/BU: Shipping up to Worcester Edition

Did I miss something with NESN/Hockey East? Seems like they switched the game of the week from Friday night (most years) to Saturday night...

My guess is now that NBC (formerly Versus) is telecasting a "College Hockey Friday" game each week that perhaps NESN does not want to compete with that??

Very good point and probably pretty accurate.

you think the three people that would watch a nesn game would rather watch a nothing game on versus instead of a nothing game on nesn where they know the teams?

They have already had a few Hockey East games on...and I actually think I read somewhere that they basically have the rights. Remember, NBC is the "Network of the Fighting Irish" and I believe the TV contract is part of the whole ND move to Hockey East agreement. I'm sure they wouldn't be televising games and at the same time allowing rights to NESN. Who do YOU think wins in a contest between NESN and NBC???
