Lfc 2015

Re: Lfc 2015

I agree that things need to change, I also believe the a coach can work around a bad AD.

Outside the box...How about getting local flavor to the team, maybe reach out to a Sebastian Geoffrion and get some family assistance to boot?

Sebastian Geoffrion?

Re: Lfc 2015

Well to address something else...

Home Ice Campaign - The final phase is the updating of the 45 year old refrigeration equipment with a $2M ask. HMMM you could almost build a whole new rink for that much $70 - 75/sq. ft. . Obviously needed, so keep the AD busy doing that and get her out of the coaches getting some talent.

We can't compete in the NCHA & the top programs in the nation without changes!

Re: Lfc 2015

the thread falls silent...; no ideas, no passion, low expectations all to set up another SNAFU season. Well good luck to Adrain and SNC that put in the effort and that have made themselves tops in the nation.

Re: Lfc 2015

So where is the future? Why would you come and play at LFC? It is sad, the school has so much to offer....
2015-16 Men’s NCHA All-Freshman Team
Forward: Connor Armour, Adrian College (Fr, Bowmanville, Ontario)
Forward: Jake Howie, Marian University (Fr, Grand Blanc, Mich.)
Forward: Bryan Yim, Adrian College (Fr, Farmington, Mich.)
Defense: Cory Dunn, Adrian College (Fr, Trenton, Mich.)
Defense: Gianni Mangone, Marian University (Fr, Calgary, Alb.)
Goalie: Kevin Entmaa, Adrian College (Fr, Milton, Ontario)

I know I know stop being negative. Can someone post a bright spot?

Re: Lfc 2015

Loved the video for the Home Ice Advantage Campaign.

JS should be transparent about excellene in hockey instead of fake rah rah.

How about:
“We need the money to make this barn into a place where we can compete, we are close and desperately need new refergiation equipment to complete the facility overhaul.”

“Our expectation is to be a top contender in the NCHA, the premiere collegiate hockey conference for Div. III.”

“Our commitment to our Coaches, Alumni and both Women’s and Men’s hockey players is that we will aggressively support the development of hockey programs to improve the experience and increase winning.”

LFC – Men’s Hockey Facts 1965 - 2016
’65 -’69 Winning Seasons = 3
’70 – ’79 Winning Seasons = 5
’80 – ’89 Winning Seasons = 6
’90 – ’99 Winning Seasons = 2
‘00 – ’16 Winning Seasons = 6
Total Winning Seasons = 22 "Our Mission has not changed" JS
Total Opponents = 93
Winning Records against those 93 = 46
“The team that usually wins is the team that got off the bus with the most talent.”

Re: Lfc 2015

Do we even have an opinion on this we can share?

NCAA Division III Proposal Number 2016-4 (2-7).
Title: PLAYING AND PRACTICE SEASONS -- ICE HOCKEY -- OFF ICE TRAINING

Re: Lfc 2015

Who will be our Professor Harold Hill?

Trouble, oh we got trouble,
Right here in Lake Froest City!
With a capital "T"
That rhymes with "H"
And that stands for Hockey,
That stands for Hockey.
We've surely got trouble!
Right here in Lake Forest City,
Right here!
Gotta figure out a way
To get good players to come to our school!
To keep the rink frozen and not a pool!
Trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble...

A Senior class with 1 plus player and a GAA of 3.86. They are going to teach the winning way to an incoming class for the lower third of the usual recruiting teams with another FUBAR season on the horizon.... Trouble?

Nobody believe we have Trouble? Trouble with a capitol "T" and that rhymes with "P" and that stands for PITIABLE

Re: Lfc 2015

Sort of what it feels like a Disney ride... but we don't need a monorail....

Hammer understands cause his team, from its first season has what LFC needs.

It’s no surprise, really. Processes are often hard to see – they’re a combination of both formal, defined, and documented steps and expectations and informal, habitual routines or ways of working that have evolved over time. But they matter profoundly.

There is nothing to enforce “this is what matters most to us” at LFC Hockey. We get "Tradition and We want to Win at all levels OFTEN"

For a minute there I thought you were going to try to bring a monorail to LFC.

Re: Lfc 2015

Sure would be nice to hear and see something like this out of LFC Hockey.

“There was passion. The community was behind us. The students were behind us. And that’s what our goal is. We all know what it’s going to take — it’s going to take work. But we’re going after the best recruits, and we’re going to get them.” “The game of hockey is entertainment,” he said. “We need people in the seats to enjoy our product. So we’re looking to play an exciting brand with skill.”

Re: Lfc 2015

In the NCAA’s 2008 survey, about 30 percent of Division III members said the “the ultimate measure of success in an athletics program is participation in national championships.”
In 2013, more than half of the division agreed with that statement.

“Some Division III teams are moving from the old approach of winning being secondary to it being the primary mission,”...... LFC?

Spartans and Thunder looking for new head coaches, Thunder with new facility and $$ backing.

Better have a plan for getting talent cause the pool is thin now.

Guess the heat of competition is rising not only in Hockey....
