Latest pairwise rankings

First FF without an NCHC participant. Many are relieved.

And it's not been great for the B1G- since inception, this is only the 4th time the B1G had a team. (ND in '17 doesn't count, as they were in HE)

Technically, Minnesota is the top seed, and more often than not, they have played the early game.

Now we are 3rd of what is left.

I didn't think that really mattered with day off in between. In regionals this year, the top seed played late game in every regional.

I wouldn't think so either, but it was a reason I thought of.

In terms of TV, Michigan is supposed to have the largest living alumni group. Would they watch hockey? Dunno.

This aged HORRIBLY!!! lmao@themooch

I mean, there are 15 minutes left, so PSU could miss out on the Frozen Four, but right now they are beating the #3 overall seeded Michigan Wolverines.

Umich lost at home to bu and tied at home to harvard. Then didn’t they fall badly at home to the Jackson??
mookie is surprised pedd state DIDNT WIN

All that does is point out the flaw in using the entire season to rank the teams from best to worst at the end. Fine for getting them into the tournament- where you reward an entire season of good play. But to think any team is the same as they were back in November... I dunno about your team, but Michigan is very different than in October and November on many levels.

Sadly, there's not a great way- other than picking the conference champions- to gift the hot teams as they enter the tournament.

Back to the subject of the tread title..... Overall Pairwise seeds 1-2-3-5 have made it to the Frozen Four. Pretty rare to see that type of full success from the top seeds. Usually there is a 3 or 4 regional seed that sneaks in there. (Though the same thing happened last year 1-1-1-2 regional seeds made it)

I meant to touch on this. FF was pretty "chalk" last year too. Maybe it becomes a trend, we'll see. The blowouts this year were certainly eye opening. Not sure it's anyone's title anymore if you simply make the field.

And Michigan was one of the youngest teams in the nation, with a large portion of the team playing in some of their first college games when they lost/tied those teams, no chance they'd get better as the year progressed? Minnesota beat their 3 games to 1 during the conf season, but the first series, a sweep for Minnesota, had several players sick and out of the lineup on both sides, but if my memory serves me right, it seemed like Michigan was missing more than UMn that weekend. Not counting that series, Michigan has a 2 to 1 advantage over Minnesota. Maybe Michigan is even better than their #3 overall seed portrays? They did beat UMn in the B1G Conf Championship game.

I'm not trying to pimp Michigan more than they deserve, and I like hearing most commentators and experts pick my Gophers as their favorite to win the Title, but I don't think it's going to be as easy as a few seem to think it will be.

Same for Q, they have played well all season, earning their #2 overall seed, and have played well in the tourney, too. But Michigan's going to easily be their toughest opponent they've faced all season. I mean, 19 of Q's games were against teams rated outside of the Top 42 in the PWR. EIGHTEEN!!! Another 12 were games vs teams outside of the Top 20 of the PWR for a total of 31 out of their 38 games.

Q went 20-0-1 vs teams ranked 31-60 in the PWR and only played 7 games vs NCAA tourney teams before the tourney started and lost 3 of those games.

No...that'd be you too.

Pardon my language but... why the f*** would I be salty when I am getting exactly what I want? That is a 100% nonsensical comeback from you. Maybe it's time to just admit you're bitter that the Big Ten is kicking ass and even more bitter that I'm making the "NCHC is soooooooooooo much better" zealots eat the crow that they have more than earned over the years with their incessant unprovoked potshots.

Because we aren't eating crow...the only one who cares about this is you. And when you are so gleeful to point out things only you care about...the problem is you

He doesn't actually want you to eat crow, because that is what an honorable person would do. If you all came in here and ate crow he'd feel compelled to let up and not rub the NCHC's failures in your face as much as he has and will continue to do going forward.

He likes the fact you are acting like losers, as it gives him even more reason and makes him feel more justified in rubbing the NCHC's failures in your faces.

At least that is my perception. I could be wrong?

Not only that, the premise of this entire post has basically flipped. Yeah, the B1G still has 6 top-20, but is in danger of having 2 of those miss the NCAA's. The NCHC, meanwhile, has more than doubled the number of top-20 teams, and is looking like they will get a solid 3, possibly the same 4 as the B1G ends up with. I feel like a certain someone mentioned it was too early to gloat...

You still think the NCHC got in "a solid 3"? lol
