Re: Just what IS "marriage" anyway?
All those things are no-nos. As are a number of other things that have become so acceptable that no one even blinks when they happen or don't- covering your head, eating certain foods, shunning if the person is not compliant with 'The Way' and does not respond to the community trying to correct them. I am sure the others could quote more. The whole of Matthew talks about paying attention to the intent of the law and not being literal. There were reasons many things were not acceptable that had to do with health and protection.
Just so long as she doesn't come here.....oh wait we believe in equality here too. Phew Safe. The best part is imagining a day when Minnesota is liberated from the presence of Michele Queen of Whack-a-Doodle Bachmann and its associated embarrassment.
Too lazy to look but I don't think the stat of teen mamas is going up. Since the advent of education it is less.Adultery is one of the no-nos in the 10 Commandments. Sodomy is also a bibical no-no. So, as the Hebrew National commercial goes, "We answer to a higher authority."
Premarital sex is a current bug a boo with some. With the increase of teenage baby mamas, the adage of playing with fire and you might get burned may be a good teaching point.
