Had a guy at my weekly 5K pub run show up with an American flag and lead the way. He and the flag had just returned from a tour in Afghanistan. 'Murica.

As a furriner, I tweeted yesterday that I have had the privilege of living in this country for 19 years after living in Canada for 41.

Some may mock me, but I'm proud of my "True Patriot Love" in "the Home of the Brave."

My (our) 4th looked a lot like Slap Shot's.

Tubing and skiing all day. Then some fishing and finally into town (on the boat) to watch the fireworks (from the boat).

One of my favorite holidays and traditions of going Up North for the 4th. :)

**** yeah AMERICA!!!

I've been telling him his whole life not to lead with his face... in hockey too. :)


That one wasn't as bad as mine about 20 minutes ago where I actually sank the tube. :eek:


Hit a huge wake from another boat, went airborne (musta been 30 feet in the air), bailed and then the tube filled with water, got pulled under water and eventually popped back out without the outer shell - which became an underwater sail.

EPIC! :D
