Jersey etiquette

Re: Jersey etiquette

So, when I attend the Capitals game, is it a) Embarrassing, b) Neutral, or c) Good Publicity to wear a college jersey?

I wore my Michigan Tech jersey to a Caps game once and loved it!! I talked to a couple of alumni and got a couple of shout outs from people walking by the box I was in.

But pantsless always gets a lot more looks and comments (whether or not they're positive depends on other factors). Just don't go shirtless, only Bob and Guy are allowed to do that.

agree.

I remember a very interesting debate on these boards some years ago where some people believed that fans over 30 should not wear hockey jerseys at all on moral grounds....

 no no no!! I hope to be an 80 year old fan wearing a jersey someday!!

This statement is approved by Shirtless Guy :p

Re: Jersey etiquette

Thanks, everyone! I'll definitely wear my Alaska jersey to the Caps game. If it leads to any interesting encounters, I'll report back.

Re: Jersey etiquette

And on the hat/shirt mismatch issue, I have a Brewers hat which I wear a lot because it's a nice neutral navy color. I wear it with almost everything, including shirts/jerseys from pro teams from other cities.

the "m" atop the "b" forming a glove with the ball in the circle of the b is one of the best, if not THE best baseball logos ever created.

I don't think he was wearing that though, seeming that one is just regular blue and would go with absolutely nothing. Well, except other old Brewers gear or old LA/St. Louis Rams stuff.:)

My Brewers hat is the dark navy color with the M/wheat logo.

That's what I figured, when you said it was navy. Navy or white hats go with many things.

No, not the white hats with the white logo with a straight brim and the tag/holographic sticker still on. Those white hats suck.
