Jan. 7th Scores: The start of the last semester of the Interlock

Re: Jan. 7th Scores: The start of the last semester of the Interlock

With five 3rd period goals, SNC blanks St. Johns 6 -- 0.
SOG: SNC -- 39, SJU -- 14.
The Johnnies had verrry few quality shots in this one.

Wild one between Gustavus and St. Olaf: the Gusties closed a 4-0 deficit to within 4-3 with 30 seconds to play, but couldn't get the equalizer. This means that numbers 3-5 in the latest USCHO poll all come away with losses this evening.

and #7 lost 7-4 on Tuesday to an un-ranked team

At this rate, I'd rather they remain that way.

No more hiding ;)

You'll be in the top 15 no doubt this week. Even with a loss to Elmira I could see you getting in.

Anything from Wessman North?

Anything from Wessman North?

The old self-quote says: Hamline 4 Superior 1

And with that the NCHA goes 6-1 against the MIAC tonight.

Noteworthy Games 1/7/11

Norwich 5 Bowdoin 2 - Regardless of the final score, Bowdowin is (cough) overrated. Good win for Norwich.

Amherst 4 Williams 2 - See above. I was hoping the Ephs would come into Stafford undefeated so we could tagg a loss on them. :(

Adrian 7 Buffalo State 5- After being down 5-2, I give props to Adrian.

Norwich actually won 5-3. :)

But yes, good win regardless of whether or not Bowdoin is overrated.

One of the best games I've seen Norwich play this year.

It will be interesting to see who gets the start in net tomorrow and if Thomas returns to the lineup after missing the whole third period.

Oh yeah, Scott Schroeder is good at hockey.

Whoops. My bad. Prezde, you making the trip across the lake for the EC/Platty game?

Some of us have to work ;)

No EC/Platty for me. Which is bad news for Platty fans. I'm an automatic win for the Red Birds when I show my ugly mug in the Stafford.

I'll be at the Norwich/Colby game and then I'll turn on Ducky and Knowles while I'm writing my recap back in the office.

I wouldn't underestimate Bowdoin to much-very fast and skilled team, with a good goaltender. They forecheck two guys and apply the pressure just like Plattsburgh. Norwich stated a new goaltender who made a couple of key saves in the first period and played a up tempo game for 60 minutes. The Allen goal in the second period to break the tie help Norwich break thru. Game reminded me a lot of the Plattsburgh/Middlebury/Norwich games where the game was close into late second period. One thing the Cards should be rated in the top 10 this week. Good luck against EC.
