Its Friday! (Jan 22) Post those scores! (and other things)

Re: Its Friday! (Jan 22) Post those scores! (and other things)

7-2 at Thomas on another rebound. 9:47 of the third

the only downside for St Thomas tonight was coach skrypeck catching a puck or stick on the head. He's a hockey coach though, he stayed in the game ;)

I think the game you may be thinking of in '91 was our opener against Scranton. It ended 21-0, and yes we were trying right up until the final buzzer. We had No Class :D

Ya know, I had it written as Scranton first then switched to Binghamton.

If I recall, you guys sat on 20-0 for about ten minutes and then scored the last one in the final minute when my section was booing you for not going for the school record.

Terrible PK for St Norbert tonight. Another PP goal for Superior.

SNC - 3
UWS - 2

Re: Its Friday! (Jan 22) Post those scores! (and other things)

7-3 with 8:15 to go, a ppg for the pipers scored on a shot from the faceoff dot that beat schraeder to the near post

Re: Its Friday! (Jan 22) Post those scores! (and other things)

7-4 as Hamline scores on a 5x3 power play, 5 minutes to go

Re: Its Friday! (Jan 22) Post those scores! (and other things)

2:50 to go and Hamline takes a tripping penalty. Ahouldve gotten another for firing the puck around the boards after the touch up, but no call.

Re: Its Friday! (Jan 22) Post those scores! (and other things)

Tabisz scores for SNC. 4:55 left in the game.

SNC - 4
UWS - 2

I suspect that if McShane is "not happy with the penalties"--he will let it pass and compliment those kids for an 8 to Zip shutout. Every contest regardless of the outcome doesn't always have to be an object lesson. Be realistic sometimes "stuff" just happens even against a weaker club. And so long as it didn't cost them the victory, you can't dwell on it. Mention it maybe but move on and get prepared for the next game. Were cool  Next up Trinity.

Now if you do want to listen to a post game locker room speech--one that may not be biblical or inspirational--one might want to be a fly on the wall in Middlebury locker room about now to listen to Beaney give someone an earful. :o

Did someone say five unanswered goals by NEC in the third period?

Old Rook, my concern is that we can't afford to retaliate to the play ethics (or the lack there of) of our opponents. Some day that could bite us where it really hurts. As you said, it didn't cost us a victory and for the most part, we played a good game and deserved the win. I agree with you, what I would pay to be that fly on the wall in Middlebury:p. Between Plattsburgh and Middlebury's woes, we could see some new (but possibly old) faces listed as conference winners this season, i.e.Bowdoin, Amherst, and Oswego (not so old). What an exciting season this has been so far:D

Final:
SNC - 5
UWS - 2

SNC got an empty netter with 1.5 seconds left

Re: Its Friday! (Jan 22) Post those scores! (and other things)

According to bethel's athletics page, they defeated St mary's 5-4 tonight

I can't find anything about Augsburg @ Concordia, and the St john's - Gustavus game was moved to Sunday at the Xcel

edit: that would be *tomorrow's* game that was moved. The gusties skated to a 3-3 tie against St john's tonight

In a big game for both teams, Augsburg beat Concordia (MN) 4-1 tonight

Two DQ's tonight for Adrian, ouch

10-1 This has nothing to do with a lack of class
Remember 3 players have scored for the first time this year,
how do you call off the horses, for guys who haven't scored yet?

That wooshing sound you heard was the joke flying over your head at warp speed.

Re: Its Friday! (Jan 22) Post those scores! (and other things)

Brockport wins 3-2......going to the bathroom to slam my male parts in the toilet seat at least 6 times......

You missed the empty netter. It was 4-2.

I hope you counted right with that toilet seat...

Re: Its Friday! (Jan 22) Post those scores! (and other things)

George Commo mentioned on the Norwich post game radio show, that Klinger's 5 shut outs must be some kind of record. I went to the Norwich site and since 1999-2000 the most shut outs recorded was by Kevin Schieve with 4 in the 01-02 season. Does any one know where to find records for all of Div III pertaining to a record # of shut outs by a goalie? I went to collegestats.com but couldn't find anything, or maybe I wasn't looking in the right place. There must be a place containing info on this. I remember looking up Kurtis McLean's records a few years back, but can't remember where I went to. Maybe the ECAC site? Anyone, a little HELP please.
