I understand he's a sociopath, but even knowing that some of his lies make no sense. Has really gotten to the point where there is 0% strategy behind his bullshit?

His followers will literally believe anything so why bother? Look at Fox News broadcasting live from the mall, looking out over a sea of empty grass and pretending there are thousands of people there because the cult leader said there were. People look at a pool of green water but he tells them it is crystal clear and they not only repeat the lie but proclaim anyone who says otherwise is a Communist Antifa terrorist who hates America.

We really have reached The Emperor's New Clothes territory.
