Iran So Far Away: 2026

Pretty funny how we abandoned many Americans in the Middle East so we could bomb Iran. I guess it was a huge risk for any American to decide to live in the Middle East regardless of reason or justification. I did hear that Mike Huckabee offered bus service out.

Meanwhile the State Department says there isn't any issues and not not rely on them if shit gets worse.

Sorry for the triple post.

Kegstand admits to *another* war crime. This has "Nazi U Boats sinking US/UK ships in the North Atlantic" written all over it.

I'm 100% not defending the war by any means, but presuming the war itself is a thing, the lawyer in me has to question how destroying a clear military target is a war crime?

By all accounts this was a naval destroyer, not a civilian ship.

Has there actually been a declaration of war?

Regardless of the legality, it is obviously wrong morally. The ship wasn’t anywhere close to even Diego Garcia or anything like that. There was no legitimate military reason to kill all those people.

One consequence I can see coming from what we did in Iran and Venezuela is other countries being a lot quicker to pull the trigger against us.

The crazy blonde bitch is giving a press conference right now on Iran. She does not seem to be hampered by whether or not this thing is a War. In fact she's not even talking about it that way.

Wonderful. Not only has the Pentagon admitted they have zero evidence Iran was planning to strike first, but the American Taliban is going to get us all killed.

Based on reports from early March 2026, over 200 U.S. service members across all military branches have filed complaints alleging that some military commanders are framing the war with Iran as a biblical "Armageddon" mission designed to trigger the return of Jesus Christ.

Here are the key details regarding these allegations:
  • Source of Allegations: The complaints were submitted to the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), a non-profit watchdog that advocates against religious extremism in the armed forces.
  • Specific Claims: According to the MRFF, commanders at over 30 installations have used extremist Christian "end times" rhetoric during briefings. One specific, widely reported complaint from a non-commissioned officer (NCO) claimed a commander stated that "President Trump has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth".
  • Context of Complaints: The reports, which emerged as U.S. and Israeli forces launched strikes on Iran, accuse leadership of blending "end times" prophecies from the Book of Revelation with military strategy.
  • Impact on Personnel: The complaints indicate that this messaging has caused distress, damaged morale, and disrupted unit cohesion, with some service members viewing it as a violation of their oath to the Constitution, which requires the separation of church and state.
  • Official Stance: The Pentagon has not issued public guidance framing the conflict in religious terms and did not directly respond to inquiries regarding these specific allegations.
The MRFF argues that these reports reflect a broader, dangerous current of Christian nationalism within segments of the U.S. military.

Everyone is aware that this thread only contains information from the highest IQ's in existence. Could you help the rest of us with a list of Wars the US has been involved in since 1945? Would you include Barry O's Libya in the list?
