"Independent" Pick'em
Once again all teams are in action this week and all of them are 2-game series so break out the brooms, do the splits, and pick out your ties again this week. Also once again, only one person gets the "Top Picker" bragging rights for this week.
NOTICE: I have a question for you guys this week. First off, let me say that, personally, I have always avoided picking or counting pre-season exhibition games and didn't list or count any of them in this "Pick'em" either... to this point anyway. Since this is the time of the season for mostly pure league play and UAH has no league, they have no NCAA DI games the last three weeks of the season. So, here's the question. Do you guys want to count the two games between the US U-18 team and UAH in the "official" game count or just call that game as a bonus, non-counting game since technically, by my own rules, that game will not count? There are 171 NCAA games in this year's Pick'em and you will need to call 128 (rounded) of them to qualify for the Champion's title. Due to rounding, if we were to add those two U18/UAH games the count goes up by 2 for each of those numbers. That is to say you would need to call 130 of 173 games. This is your choice here as I'm being democratic and letting the majority call this one. I'm happy either way. I'll add a line in the Choices column this week that says "Count" or "Bonus" so you can cast your vote on whether to add those two games to the total "count" or keep it within the posted rules and use those games as "bonus" picks, strictly for fun. I'll tally up the vote if I get a majority vote from the currently active participants. Since there are 12 currently active participants we could end up with a tie so I am disqualifying myself so there will be an odd number and therefore, no ties. Let me know what you want.
