I am not sure-but was her sister the first Ann Landers? or was that name already being used and she just took over the role? I beleive her twin sister died about 10 years ago.

You're right about Ann Landers passing away ten years ago. Don't know if "Ann" took over or originated the column. A similar, local phenomenon years ago in Chicago. As I was growing up, the ticket managers for the Cubs and Sox were the twin Maloney brothers.

Dr. Demento will be crushed, Stan was a huge hero. A fraternity brother once told me about visiting Stan's restaurant, and the awesome display of 7 silver bats! An all time great player and gentleman. RIP, Stan.
