Hockey East: Anyones Tournament

Re: Hockey East: Anyones Tournament

Jesus, you aren't that bright are you?? Oh and BTW UVM beat BC 2-1 this year and are 3-1-1 in their last 5 against BC. UNH will be more of a problem then BC.

What is UVM's record vs. BC in the postseason? Those games in October and November against a team loaded with freshmen must be worth raising a banner for!!!!

Was just gonna say they last played in November, yet numbnuts wants to use UVM's 2-1 season series edge as to why BC would be easier. What a complete retard.

Those games in Oct and November.....the one BC win was in Nov. against those freshman, those same freshman also lost .....twice. And last years team with all the seniors lost .....in January:eek: leading to the last 5 games.

You freaking crack me up Nick. I know you aren't that stupid when it comes to defending BC you sure come up with some doozies.

BC has consistently good teams so the consistently do well in the post season. It's laughable that you and some others think that somehow a ****ty team is going to win come playoff time just because it's playoffs.

But as far as the record.....I don't care to spend the time looking it up......UVM is 0-1-0 as far as I can remember back with certainty.

While BC has been consistent (consistently good), it is generally accepted that a team with so many freshmen (especially a loaded freshman class) can get better as the season moves on and they adjust to the speed of the game from their prior level's of play. Additionally, throw in BC's absurd postseason record under Jerry York, and you're really huffing some serious fumes if you think a postseason matchup between these teams will even closely resemble those games in November and October.

As far as last year's game in January with so many BC seniors, that team stunk. They didn't do a thing last year for a reason. And they were replaced with freshmen that have outplayed them in general by a mile.

So BC has consistently good teams... yet this year's team is "****ty"? That makes sense. Keep on huffing those fumes hippie. This year's current #4 PWR team is "****ty". Sure sure sure. Sure.

But as far as the record.....I don't care to spend the time looking it up......UVM is 0-1-0 as far as I can remember back with certainty.

Try 0-3. (I did enjoy you put a number in there for the tie column as if a team could tie in the postseason).

That banner UVM raises for going 2-1 vs. BC before Thanksgiving will go great next to your "we beat AFA and Yale" and "Moral victory vs. BU in Washington DC" banners.

Poor jcarter. You seem to have so much hostility. Normally I'd advise someone like you to take a deep breath before you post but that's only going to make you more high! :D

Here a nice picture of the Vermont team heading to NH last night....

This is why as a Lowell fan, I'd prefer to play the BCs and BUs of the world early on. Each team consistently pushes players on to the next level, and bringing in new kids each year takes time to get them to play together. Playing a team like BC or BU is much different earlier in the season than later. Obviously that applies to every team, but I think the younger teams show much more of an improvement.

Re: Hockey East: Anyones Tournament

In regards to the actual tournament talk ... I can see all the road teams but UMass (sorry UMass fans) making their respective series tough. I'm hoping that Lowell can finally end their repetitive losing up at Maine this year (and with Darling out, they might have the chance). I think the final four will be the Big Four less Maine (with Lowell taking their spot).

It's weird as a long time Lowell fan. We got used to being at the Garden/FleetCenter for a long time ... and then it went away. With the joy (last second tie, OT win) and the despair (BU loss) of last year, I'd love to go back and try it again.

Your mom loves it when I go back and try it again and again and again....

Re: Hockey East: Anyones Tournament

And Northeastern once again proves that it's the class of Hockey East....

... until the 'Mack kids come in and make the Jersey Shore cast look like a bunch of librarians.

I wasn't the one who asked for this thread to be a flame fest.... I just obliged and started the flame war. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

No reason for you guys to talk about hockey, anyways. Well, you always can look back to 2008 (the winter part, you know.... before they started choking in the Beanpot, or the last day of the regular season, or the Hockey East Tournament, or the NCAA against Cornell).....

Re: Hockey East: Anyones Tournament

Is everyone still standing at Matthews? Have the lights been turned off yet? Actually, probably not because they might not be able to turn them back on...
