Hockey East: 2019/20 season is Joe Bertagna's last as commish

Re: Hockey East: 2019/20 season is Joe Bertagna's last as commish

Damm man, I didn't know. Is there anything we can do??

:(

Sorry to hear.

Thanks for the thoughts. At this time other than offering to donate a kidney there is nothing I need. I was watching the Enterprise episode The Communicator yesterday when the dialog, in taking about human organs included "redundant renal organ." It made me wish kidneys worked that way so I would have one healthy one, but they don't. On the positive side, needing a transplant lead to the discovery that I needed a triple bypass  which was successful. :)

Do you have family that is a good match?

http://hockeyeastonline.com/men/art...teractive-announce-multi-year-partnership.php

CBS All-Access

Under the partnership, each game played in Hockey East arenas, including all postseason contests for both the men's and women's leagues, will be streamed live in the United States and Canada on CBS All Access, with archival content available on demand as well.

Fans can tune in beginning this Thursday (Feb. 27) to watch all Hockey East Women's Tournament games as well as Hockey East men's league regular season and tournament games, featuring the exciting conclusion to the closest season in recent memory.

It would seem both parties have been happy with this season’s viewing numbers. It also brings all the women’s game to the All-Access platform, so no more free games. I do like having all the tournament games on All-Access as it is much cheaper than the previous streaming platform Hockey East had partnered with. With BU probably on the road I may be watching this year instead of being at the games. And, of course, you get access to all CBS owned content.

Team Points Maximum Wins Range
BC 30 36 15 1-2
UMA 26 32 12 1-8
ME 25 29 11 2-9
UC 24 30 11 2-9
UML 24 30 10 2-9
BU 23 29 9 2-9
NU 21 29 10 2-9
PC 21 25 9 4-9
UNH 19 27 9 3-9

BC can finish no worse than second. Either UConn or Lowell could catch them at 30 points, but BC wins tiebreakers. Only BC or UMass can now win the Hockey East regular season title. If there is a tie, BC wins the tiebreaker.

Re: Hockey East: 2019/20 season is Joe Bertagna's last as commish

But what about a three way tie at 30 points between BC, UMass and UML

Re: Hockey East: 2019/20 season is Joe Bertagna's last as commish

Looks like BC wins that with a 3-2 head to head against them

BC wins all tiebreakers whether H2H or with multiple teams.
2-1 vs UMA
1-1 vs UML (more conference wins)
2-0 vs UConn

If it were BC/UMA/UML
BC wins 3-2>UML 2-2>UMA 2-3

Re: Hockey East: 2019/20 season is Joe Bertagna's last as commish

I would think it's fair to say that BC is getting the #1 seed, and its highly likely that UMass gets home ice. VT and MC are eliminated of course, and UNH has the toughest path to the playoffs and is on the outside looking in. But past that, everything is still up in the air.
